‘ज्ञानयोग’ में स्वामी विवेकानन्द के वेदान्त पर दिए गए विश्लेषणपरक भाषणों को संकलित किया गया है। इनमें कुछ भाषण लंदन में, कुछ अमेरिका में और कुछ अत्यत्र दिए गए थे। उनका मानना था कि व्यक्तिगत और सामाजिक जीवन में वेदान्त निर्णायक रूप में उपयोगी साबित हो सकता है; कि वह मनुष्य के अब तक किए गए चिन्तन का उच्चतम फल है, संसार की समस्त विचार-सरणियों को अन्ततः उसी में विलीन होना है। अत्यन्त सरल और सुगम भाषा में दिए गए इन वक्तव्यों में उन्होंने माया क्या है, मनुष्य का वास्तविक स्वरूप क्या है, माया और ईश्वर की अवधारणा का विकास किस प्रकार हुआ, संसार क्या है, आत्मा का स्वभाव क्या है, अमरत्व क्या है, आदि विषयों पर विचार किया है। विवेकानन्द के चिन्तन की विशेषता ये है कि दर्शन के गूढ़ प्रश्नों पर वे जो भी विचार करते हैं, उसे हमारे भौतिक और वर्तमान जीवन से जोड़ते हुए, उसकी रोशनी में व्याख्यायित करते हुए करते हैं, यह विशेषता इन आलेखों और वक्तव्यों में भी दृष्टिगोचर होती है।

प्रस्तुत पुस्तक 'प्रतिनिधि हिन्दी-निबन्धकार' इस भावना से प्रेरित होकर लिखी गयी है कि हिन्दी के प्रमुख निवन्धकारों की निबन्ध कला का समग्र परिचय एक ही स्थान पर उपलब्ध हो सके। यह पुस्तक प्रथम बार जनवरी, सन् 1975 में प्रकाशित हुई थी। कई संस्करणों के बाद अब पुस्तक के इस नये संस्करण में अनेक उल्लेखनीय नवीन निबन्धकारों को भी सम्मिलित कर लिया गया है। अन्तिम तीन निबन्धकारों- 'दिनकर', हरिशंकर परसाई तथा शरद जोशी का विवेचन डॉ. ज्योतीश्वर मिश्र द्वारा किया गया है। ग्रन्थ में बालकृष्ण भट्ट से लेकर शरद जोशी तक कुल 22 प्रतिनिधि हिन्दी निबन्धकारों और शैलीकारों को स्थान दिया गया है। प्रत्येक निबन्धकार के सम्पूर्ण निबन्ध साहित्य का परिचय, उसके निबन्धों का वर्गीकरण, निबन्धों में व्यक्त विचारधारा, निबन्ध-भाषा, विविध शैली-रूपों तथा निबन्ध साहित्य में उसके स्थान आदि का विवेचन किया गया है। निबन्धकारों के बारे में प्रतिष्ठित आलोचकों के मत भी यथास्थान उद्धृत हैं। आशा है निबन्ध साहित्य के अध्येता इस पुस्तक से लाभान्वित होंगे।

योग विद्या के आचार्य कहते हैं कि धर्म का आधार पूर्वकालीन अनुभूतियाँ जरूर हैं, लेकिन धार्मिक होने के लिए इन अनुभूतियों से स्वयं गुजरना अनिवार्य है। सिर्फ कहे हुए का अनुकरण करके कोई धार्मिक नहीं हो सकता। धर्म के सत्यों का जब तक आप स्वयं अनुभव नहीं कर लेते तब तक धर्म की बात करना व्यर्थ है, और उसके नाम पर खून बहाना केवल हिंसा। योग ही वह माध्यम है जिसके द्वारा हम उन अनुभूतियों को स्वयं अनुभूत और अर्जित कर सकते हैं। विवेकानन्द इसे एक व्यावहारिक और वैज्ञानिक प्रणाली मानते हैं। जिस तरह वैज्ञानिक बाह्य वस्तुओं पर परीक्षण करता है, उसी तरह योग का परीक्षण-स्थल मन है, और उसका साधन भी। यह पुस्तक राजयोग के सिद्धांतों को सरल और सहज भाषा में व्याख्यायित करती है। पुस्तक के पहले भाग में न्यूयॉर्क में छात्रों को योग की शिक्षा देने के लिए स्वामी विवेकानंद ने जो वक्तव्य दिए थे, वे संकलित हैं और दूसरे भाग में पतंजलि के योग सूत्र, उन सूत्रों के अर्थ और उन पर संक्षिप्त टीका शामिल है।

पस्तुत पुस्तक में उदीयमान लेखिका के 26 ललित निबंध हैं, जो विभिन्न मानवीय मनोभावों/प्रवृत्तियों पर आधारित हैं। लेखिका ने अपने निबंधों को अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला की ध्वनि के अनुसार अपने लेखों को संयोजित किया है। भरोसा, चतुराई, धैर्य, इच्छाशक्ति, उत्साह, वचनबाध्यता, जुझारूपन, ईमानदारी, करुणा, मंथन, जिंदादिली, संस्कार आदि गुण जहाँ मनुष्य का निर्माण करते हैं, वहीं आशा, हँसी-मजाक, लालसा, जिज्ञासा, उत्साह उसके दैनंदिन व्यवहार का अभिन्न अंग हैं। लेखिका ने शुष्क एवं क्लिष्ट विषयों को रोचक रूप में प्रस्तुत किया और इसके लिए रोचक संस्मरणों की सहायता ली है, ताकि विषय स्पष्ट हो सके और बोझिलता कम हो। जिंदगी में जिंदादिली और खुशी का मार्ग दिखानेवाली एक पठनीय पुस्तक।

The Truth of Delhi Riots is Unearthing Gradually “As per our plan, on February 24, we called several people and told them how stones, petrol bombs and acid bottles are to be thrown. I shifted my family to another place. At about 1.30 p.m. in the afternoon on February 24, we began pelting stones.” Only those who are not familiar with the real face of the Aam Aadmi Party will be surprised or shocked by the above statements made by the now expelled counsellor Tahir Hussain. The Aam Aadmi Party used its network of people associated with mosques and madarsas and relied on leaders such as Tahir Hussain and Amanat Ulla Khan to bag the Muslim votes in Delhi. In return for the votes, it seems the party granted a specific community a license to consign north-east Delhi to flames. Now that the chargesheet has been finalised by the Delhi Police about the riots that took place in East Delhi, it will be a fallacy to disassociate the riots that took place in places such as Jafrabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Gokul Puri, Karawal Nagar, Bhajanpura, and Yamuna Vihar from the violence that took place during the anti-CAA protests. The violence that occurred during the anti-CAA protests in places such as Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, and Seelampur were actually the precursor to a big riot. The riot that took place in the north-east parts of Delhi during US President Donald Trump's visit from February 23-26, 2020. For the violence that was orchestrated during these riots, the work of collecting empty bottles, stones and storing these on the rooftops of houses had begun on February 4. Many people of the Muslim community had filled petrol in their vehicles so that this fuel could later be used for making petrol bombs. In many Muslim families, pamphlets about such riots were distributed with instructions on how to deal with Hindus. It is not rocket science to understand that the Muslim community was already prepared for the riots that broke out in north-east Delhi. Hindus did not get a chance to get their act together. Slowly, the conspiracy behind the riots is unravelling, and the lies perpetrated by the Communist ecosystem are falling flat.

Rabindranath Tagore was a very accomplished poet endowed with supernatural powers of language and expression. He not only wrote poems and songs but also gave music to them. Besides poems, he also wrote essays, memoirs, plays, novels and short stories which were, and still are, appreciated by the old and the young alike. His short stories, which range from innocent, childlike stories like Kabuliwala to detective and social ones, occupy a prominent place in Bangla literature even today. We have tried to present here some of his famous short stories to the best of our ability. Some of these, like Kabuliwala and Samapti (Uphaar in Hindi), have even been made into films. We have tried to maintain the quality and original flavour of these evergreen stories and hope the readers will appreciate and enjoy them.

‘भारतीय शिक्षा’ डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद के शिक्षा-सम्बन्धी भाषणों का संकलन है। समय-समय पर दिये गए इन भाषणों का अपना अलग महत्त्व है लेकिन इस पुस्तक में एक साथ उनकी प्रस्तुति से जानने में मदद मिलती है कि एक राष्ट्रनिर्माता के रूप में राजेन्द्र बाबू, देश की शिक्षा-व्यवस्था को किस रूप में देखने के आकांक्षी थे और शिक्षा मात्र के बारे में उनके विचार और अनुभव क्या थे। मसलन, भारत को अपने लिए कैसी शिक्षा-व्यवस्था बनानी चाहिए, शिक्षा का माध्यम क्या होना चाहिए, नारी शिक्षा कैसी होनी चाहिए और वह क्यों आवश्यक है, शिक्षा में विज्ञान का क्या महत्त्व है आदि-आदि। यही नहीं, वे विद्यार्थियों के अधिकारों और कर्तव्यों का तथा विद्यार्थी और राजनीति के पारस्परिक रिश्ते का जिक्र भी करते हैं। कहना न होगा कि देश के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति की लेखनी से निकले ये शब्द किसी भी सुधी पाठक को प्रेरित करने वाले है।

बसन्त आ गया पर कोई उत्कण्ठा नहीं निबंध मन की जिस तरंगायित अभिव्यक्ति का नाम है, श्री विद्यानिवास मिश्र के ये निबंध अत्यन्त सच्चाई और सूक्ष्मता के साथ इसका प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं। पं. रामचन्द्र शुक्ल और आचार्य हजारीप्रसाद द्विवेदी के बाद हिन्दी निबंध को लोक तत्त्व और परम्परा की गहन अनुभूति से समृद्ध करने वाला तीसरा नाम पं. विद्यानिवास मिश्र का ही है। इन निबंधों में विषय तो मात्र एक 'बहाना' है। उस बहाने से निबंधकार आधुनिक जीवन की भीतरी विसंगतियों को बड़ी सूक्ष्मता से उजागर करता है। उसकी भाषा लोकोन्मुखी होने के साथ-ही-साथ संस्कृत और पाश्चात्य साहित्य के गहरे अध्ययन से अत्यन्त काव्यमयी हो उठी है। भाषा की इस काव्यमयता के भीतर ही जीवन के वे छलछलाते प्रसंग छिपे हैं जो बार-बार निबंधकार को एक 'मुक्त आवेश' की सृष्टि करने को विवश करते हैं। लेखक के व्यक्तित्व और अभिव्यक्ति से सन्निहित यह 'मुक्त आवेश' ही उनके निबंधों को उस नैतिक अनुशासन से समृद्ध करता है जो हर आधुनिक लेखन की पहली शर्त है। आधुनिक हिन्दी साहित्य में जब गद्य की अन्य विधायें आज अधिक प्रमुख और महत्त्वपूर्ण मानी जाने लगी हैं, यह निबंध-संग्रह निबंध-विधा को पुनरुज्जीवित करने का एक महत्त्वपूर्ण और सफल प्रयास है।

What attracted me to Govind’s stories was a strange kind of innocence reflected there. The injured in the story – be it a person, a character or his/her feelings – about whom we don’t know much nor the author tells much, just the feeling of being injured... it comes out with such passion that is seldom seen in other story-writers.” So said Nirmal Verma about Govind Mishra’s short stories.
