- Description: यहाँ ‘बिंदास बाबू की डायरी’, क्रमिक देने के दो-तीन मन्तव्य हैं। एक तो यही कि वे डेढ़-दो महीने, जब भारतीय जनता ने अपने वोट से सत्ता में रहकर इतराई हिन्दुत्ववादी-अवसरवादी ब्रिगेड को सत्ता से वंचित कर डाला, उस दौर की दैनिक बड़ी घटनाओं की ख़बर लेते हुए, उनका एक प्रकार का रोज़नामचा-सा तैयार करना स्वयं इस लेखक के लिए एक ख़ास अनुभव रहा है। इस अनुभव को बाँटना ज़रूरी लगा। वे लोग जो रेडियो माध्यम को गम्भीरता से लेते हैं, उसमें कुछ करना चाहते हैं, शायद वे इस तरह की दैनिक तुरन्ता कटाक्ष-वार्ताओं के लेखन के नमूने देख सकें। इस प्रक्रिया में काम करनेवाले अनुभवों को पहचान सकें और इस अनमोल रेडियो विद्या को थोड़ा और समृद्ध बना सकें। दूसरा मन्तव्य यह समझना-समझाना रहा कि इस तरह दैनिक क़िस्म का, क्षणिक-सा, बेहद टाइट समय के भीतर जो चलित वृत्तान्त बनता है, वह किन दबावों, तनावों, भाषायी क्षमता और प्रत्युत्पन्नमति की, इंप्रोवाइजेशन की ज़रूरतों की दरकार रखता है? और फिर यह जताना-बताना भी ज़रूरी है कि बीबीसी रेडियो सेवा एक बेहद पॉपुलर, प्रयोगधर्मी सेवा भी है, जो अपने को अग्रणी रखने के लिए चुनौती-भरे प्रयोग कर सकता है। आल इंडिया रेडियो यानी आकाशवाणी वार्ताकार को क्या इतनी छूट दे सकता है? एफ़एम चैनलों पर प्रस्तुतियों में कुछ चैनल टपोरी भाषा का उपयोग करते हैं, उसमें सेक्सी व्यंजनाएँ या लंपट व्यंजनाएँ ज़्यादा होती हैं। वे कमज़ोर पर हँसते हैं। ताक़तवर पर नहीं हँसते। वे बॉलीवुड से मज़ाक़ कर लेते हैं ताकि ‘प्रमोट’ कर सकें। लेकिन वे सत्तावादी राजनीतिक विमर्श का मज़ाक़ सीधे-सीधे नहीं उड़ा सकते। बीबीसी यह कर सकता है। यह देख तोष होता है कि रेडियो प्रसारण में उससे बहुत कुछ सीखा जा सकता है। सत्तावादी राजनीतिक विमर्श पर केन्द्रित ये व्यंग्य-वार्ताएँ पाठकों के लिए इसलिए महत्त्वपूर्ण हैं कि कुछ नया जानने-समझने को नए द्वार खोलती हैं।
