- Description: भारतीय सांस्कृतिक नवजागरण के अग्रदूत गौतम बुद्ध, सम्राट् चंद्रगुप्त, आदिशंकराचार्य, समर्थ रामदास, महर्षि दयानंद सरस्वती, वेदांत केसरी स्वामी विवेकानंद, स्वामी रामतीर्थ आदि महात्माओं ने हिमालय की गोद में प्रेरणा प्राप्त की। इसी की शरण और सान्निध्य में निष्काम कर्म यानी ‘अनासक्ति’ का महापाठ सीखा। राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी भी हिमालय से अभिभूत रहे। उनकी कृति गीता का अनुवाद ‘अनासक्ति योग’ संयोग से इसी हिमालय की प्रेरणा से पूरी हो पाई। यहीं उन्होंने इसकी सारगर्भित प्रस्तावना लिखी। इस पुस्तक में उनके व्यवहृत जीवन का दर्शन भी समाहित है। गीता को बापू ने किस तरह अपने आचरण में ढाल लिया, इसका भी जीवंत दस्तावेज है यह ‘अनासक्ति योग’ पुस्तक। भारतव्यापी दौरे पर निकले बापू स्वास्थ्य लाभ और सीमांत पर्वतीय जनता में नई उमंग भरने यहाँ आए थे। ये वर्ष १९२९ की गरमियों के दिन थे। नैनीताल, अल्मोड़ा, रानीखेत होते हुए वह कौसानी पहुँचे। यहाँ की नयनाभिराम छटा और सामने दुग्ध धवल हिमालय के अप्रतिम-आध्यात्मिक सौंदर्य ने बापू के पाँवों में जैसी बेडिय़ाँ डाल दीं। दो दिन के प्रवास पर यहाँ आए गांधीजी पूरे १४ दिन यहीं रुके रह गए। कौसानी चाय बागान का यह अतिथि-गृह, जहाँ बापू ठहरे और ‘अनासक्ति योग’ पुस्तक लिखी, वही आज ‘अनासक्ति आश्रम’ के नाम से जाना जाता है। भारतवर्ष के मस्तक हिमालय का जयघोष करती गौरवबोध करवाने वाली पठनीय कृति।

The characters here have been chosen from the pauranik literature and yet feelings and reactions they express are germane to what we find in all human beings. At the thematic level the central point of the novel presents the love between shiv and sati. It is related to the protection of the divinity and spirituality in the universe. It suggests the union between two forces — Shiv and Shakti. The essential elements in a cosmic planning. lf shiv is a great lover then Sati too is not wanting in longing for his love. However as it is sati’s father, great Prajapathi Daksh, the son of Brahma keeps an umbrage against shiv. He abhors shiv and Is openly against the matrimonial alliance between his daughter sati and shiv. From the very beginning sati knows that shiv is her eternal spouse. But Prajapathi Daksh is bent upon destroying this relationship. However by quirk of fate sati is married to shiv. Not withstanding all resistance, Daksh is compelled to give his daughter away to the person he dislikes most, Shiv. Deeply hurt Daksh is now looking for a chance to insult his son in law when he arranges a yagya and doesn't invite them. Sati burns her out there in yog Agni. | have presented this so repeated story from a different angle. The first person narration here has been used for the expansion of philosophy and thought that result in giving a contemporary canvas. | have visualised myself as Sati for exploring the in-depth feelings and emotions of a woman. The use of the montage technique has allowed me to pick up some stories from countless stories of shiv and sati and put them into an imaginative, an unputdownable literary piece.

अंकित चड्ढा दास्तानगोई के आसमान का सबसे दरख़्शाँ सितारा था जिसको वक़्त ने बड़ी बेरहमी से हम सब से जुदा कर दिया। अंकित ने छह साल मेरे साथ काम किया मगर उन 6 सालों में उसने 20 सालों का सफ़र तय किया। उसमें बला की ख़ुद-एत्तेमादी, बला की कशिश, बला की संजीदगी और बला की शोख़ी थी। दास्तानगोई शुरू करने के साल भर के अन्दर उसने जान लिया था कि उसे यही काम करना है और उसने नौकरी-वौकरी को ताक पर रखकर कबीर पे अपनी ख़ुद साख़्ता ‘ढाई आखर की दास्तान’ बना कर अपनी आमद का डंका बजा दिया था। फिर वो एक के बाद एक नए तजुर्बे, नए साँचे, नए रंग, नए क़हक़हे बिखेरता चला गया। दास्तान-ए-एलिस में उसने बच्चों को जिस तरह रिझाया वो कोई बहुत ग़ैरमामूली तौर पर सच्चा और बिरला इंसान ही कर सकता था। ये उसका जौहर था की जिसने एक बार उसको देखा वो उसका गिरवीदा हो गया। वो सिर्फ़ दास्तानें नहीं सुनाता था लोगों के दिलों में जाकर बैठ जाता था और वो आज भी उन हज़ारों लोगों के दिलों में बैठा हुआ है जिन्हें उससे दास्तान सुनने का शर्फ़ हासिल हुआ। इस किताब में उसकी लिखी और तदवीन की हुई ढेरों दास्तानें हैं। कहीं शगुफ़्तगी है, कहीं तंज़ है, कहीं हंसी की फुहार है, कहीं दिल-गिरफ़्तगी है, मगर उसके यहाँ हुज़्न में भी हुस्न है, तल्ख़ी में भी प्यार है। कहीं कबीर है, कहीं खुसरो हैं, कहीं गांधी है, कहीं चींटियाँ हैं, कहीं खानाबदोश हैं। ये किताब अंकित की यादगार है। उसका नेमुल-बदल है। दिलफ़रेब, हसीन, ख़ूबसूरत, चुलबुला अंकित आज नहीं है मगर उसकी छोड़ी ये कहानियाँ हमें हमेशा उसकी याद दिलाते रहेंगी अंकित ज़िंदाबाद, पाइँदाबाद।
