I wish you were not here by Deepshikha Saw A fictional book that revolves around a young aspiring tennis player Shivangi. COVID has brought drastic changes in each and everyone’s life, it made us shattered, stronger, weaker, and even challenged in many ways. Shivangi is a fast learner, fitness freak, over thinker and a honest girl with wonderful writing skills. After returning from the tournament she found out to be quarantined in home due to COVID. Due to lockdown and viral outbreak there were no other games and she must stay caged in her house. As the days pass her transition from a naughty girl to a matured writer has been described beautifully by the author. The whole book takes us a tour about the various events like connecting with family, friends, within ourselves and mental health during the outbreak It feels like its our own story that’s described by the author The language is so simple and beginner friendly. Brownie points: A book that felt like regular conversation between friends and family A unique book that instantly connected with me
