- Description: ई की मात्रा फ़रह अज़ीज़ की चुटीली कहानी है। कहानी में खेल है। खेल ई की मात्रा का। ई का मात्रा जहाँ चाहे वहाँ चली जाती है और उससे शब्द का मतलब ही बदल डालती है। मसलन, कोई हाथ में मेंहदी लगा रहा है और ई की मात्रा वहाँ जाकर लग जाती है। हाथ की जगह हाथी हो जाता है। और अब मेंहदी पूरे हाथी पर लगानी पड़ती है। ई की मात्रा को स्कूलों में आमतौर पर कितने नीरस ढंग से पढ़ाया जाता है। यह किताब एक इशारा भी है। कि कैसे भाषा के खेल को चलाया जाता है। यह कहानी इस खेल से कुछ ज़्यादा है। बीच बीच में इशारे हैं। इस किताब के चित्र भी कहानी के खेल में शामिल होते हैं। यानी इस किताब में दो खिलाड़ी हैं। चित्र इतने अहम हैं कि यह किताब जितनी फ़रह अज़ीज़ की है उतनी ही राजीव आइप की भी है। इस किताब में कुछ आमने सामने के पेज इतने दिलकश हैं कि आप बार बार उन्हें खोलकर देखेंगे। और ढूँढेगे कि ई की मात्रा कहाँ कहाँ लगकर किस शब्द के मतलब को बदल रही है। इस किताब के हाथी इतने जीवन्त हैं कि पेज 14-15 को एक बार मैं कोनों से पकड़े था। इस तरह कि दायाँ अगूँठा पेज नम्बर के एक दम पास था। हाथी पर नज़र पड़ते ही मैंने अगूँठा हटाया कि कहीं हाथी के पैर की कल्पना से ही वह कुचल न जाए। शिक्षकों और पेरेन्ट्स के लिए इस किताब में अपने बच्चों से बातचीत का एक ट्रंक भर कर सामान है। Age group 6-8 years
