और उजागर होता है वह पूरा युग भी जिसमें बँटवारा हुआ, आज़ादी मिली, गांधी की हत्या हुई, देश की बहाली के नए स्वप्न शुरू हुए, नई विचारधाराओं ने नए हौसले दिए, उत्तर-आधुनिकता ने क़िस्म-क़िस्म के अन्त घोषित किए, और आख़िर में भूमंडलीकरण ने सब कुछ को झंझोड़ डाला। यह सब इस संवाद का हिस्सा है। और इसीलिए हर अपूर्व मुलाक़ात की तरह अधूरी होते हुए भी, यह अनूठी किताब हमें एक मुकम्मल पाठकीय स्मृति देकर ख़त्म होती है।
