Captain Vikram Batra of 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles is one of those bravehearts who contributed in the victory of the Kargil war after fiercely fighting on multiple peaks one after another. Captain Vikram Batra showed unprecedented valour in the Kargil war and attained martyrdom. He was awarded with the ‘Param Vir Chakra’ posthumously.

साहित्य में ‘मंज़रनामा’ एक मुकम्मिल फ़ार्म है। यह एक ऐसी विधा है जिसे पाठक बिना किसी रुकावट के रचना का मूल आस्वाद लेते हुए पढ़ सकें। लेकिन मंज़रनामा का अन्दाज़े-बयाँ अमूमन मूल रचना से अलग हो जाता है या यूँ कहें कि वह मूल रचना का इंटरप्रेटेशन हो जाता है।
मंज़रनामा पेश करने का एक उद्देश्य तो यह है कि पाठक इस फ़ार्म से रू-ब-रू हो सकें और दूसरा यह कि टी.वी. और सिनेमा में दिलचस्पी रखनेवाले लोग यह देख-जान सकें कि किसी कृति को किस तरह मंज़रनामे की शक्ल दी जाती है। टी.वी. की आमद से मंज़रनामों की ज़रूरत में बहुत इज़ाफ़ा हो गया है।
अथाह प्रेम, प्रेम के गहरे सम्मान और शुद्ध-सुच्चे भारतीय मूल्यों में रसी-पगी गुलज़ार की इस फ़िल्म को न देखा हो ऐसे बहुत कम लोग होंगे। लेकिन मंज़रनामे की शक्ल में इसे पढ़ना बिलकुल भिन्न अनुभव है। इतने कसाव और कौशल के साथ लिखी हुई पटकथाएँ निश्चित रूप से सिद्ध करती हैं कि मंज़रनामा एक स्वतंत्र साहित्यिक विधा है। बार-बार देखने लायक़ फ़िल्म की बार-बार पठनीय पुस्तकीय प्रस्तुति!
