- Description: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is considered the Messiah of the Dalits in India. In 1947, the Constituent Assembly appointed him as the chairman of the Drafting Committee constituted for drafting the Constitution for independent India. He played a key role in building the Constitution. He was born on 14 April 1891 at Mhow (near Indore), a small town of present Madhya Pradesh. He was the fourteenth child of Subedar Ramji and Bhimabai Sakpal. Being from the Maharcaste, he was treated as an ‘untouchable’. His father and his grandfather had served in the British Army. Good schools were arranged by the then government for the education of the children of all military personnel. Therefore, despite being from a low caste, he got a good education. In 1937, Dr Ambedkar introduced a bill to end the ‘Khoti’ practice of Mahars working as official slaves in the Konkan region. When India became independent in 1947, he adorned the post of the Minister of Law. He had made a clarion call—‘Lost rights are never regained by begging... but by relentless struggle’. For his remarkable work, he was posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ in the year 1990.

- Description: "सगुण भक्ति-धारा के कृष्ण-भक्तों में मीराबाई का श्रेष्ठ स्थान है। वे श्रीकृष्ण को ईश्वर-तुल्य पूज्य ही नहीं, वरन् अपने पति-तुल्य मानती थीं। कहते हैं कि उन्होंने बाल्यावस्था में ही श्रीकृष्ण का वरण कर लिया था। माता-पिता ने यद्यपि उनका लौकिक विवाह भी किया, लेकिन उन्होंने पारलौकिक प्रेम को प्रश्रय दिया तथा पति का घर-बार त्यागकर जोगन बन गईं और गली-गली अपने इष्ट, अपने आराध्य, अपने वर श्रीकृष्ण को ढूँढ़ने लगीं। उन्होंने वृंदावन की गली-गली, घर-घर, बाग-बाग और पत्तों-पत्तों में गिरधर गोपाल को ढूँढ़ा, अंततः जब वे नहीं मिले तो द्वारिका चली गईं। मीराबाई ने अनेक लोकप्रिय पदों की रचना की। हालाँकि काव्य-रचना उनका उद्देश्य नहीं था। लेकिन अपने आराध्य के प्रति निकले उनके शब्द ही भजन बन गए और लोगों की जुबान पर चढ़ गए। उनके पद राजस्थान, गुजरात, उत्तर प्रदेश एवं बंगाल में बहुत लोकप्रिय हुए और आज भी रेडियो एवं टेलीविजन पर बजते सुने जा सकते हैं। प्रेम-भक्ति में मग्न होकर गाए उनके पद-गीत यत्र-तत्र बिखरे पड़े हैं। प्रस्तुत पुस्तक में उनके भक्ति-रस में रचे-बसे पदों को संकलित किया गया है। आशा है, सुधी पाठक इस पुस्तक के माध्यम से मीराबाई के भक्ति-सागर में गोते लगाएँगे।"

- Description: यह आम धारणा है कि सरदार पटेल कांग्रेस के तीन दिग्गजों-महात्मा गांधी, पं. नेहरू और सुभाषचंद्र बोस के खिलाफ थे। किंतु यह मात्र दुष्प्रचार ही है। हाँ कुछ मामलों में-खासकर सामरिक नीति के मामलों में-उनके बीच कुछ मतभेद जरूर थे, पर मनभेद नहीं था। परंतु जैसा कि इस पुस्तक में उद्घाटित किया गया है, सरदार पटेल ने पाकिस्तान को 55 करोड़ रुपए दिए जाने के प्रस्ताव पर गांधीजी का विरोध नहीं किया था; यद्यपि वह समझ गए थे कि ऐसा करने की कीमत चुकानी पड़ेगी। इसी तरह उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में पं. नेहरू के प्रति भी उपयुक्त सम्मान प्रदर्शित किया। उन्होंने ही भारत को ब्रिटिश राष्ट्रमंडल में शामिल करने के लिए पं. नेहरू को तैयार किया था; यद्यपि नेहरू पूरी तरह इसके पक्ष में नहीं थे। जहाँ तक सुभाष चंद्र बोस के साथ उनके संबंधों की बात है, वे सन् 1939 में दूसरी बार सुभाषचंद्र बोस को कांग्रेस का अध्यक्ष चुने जाने के खिलाफ थे। सुभाषचंद्र बोस ने जिस प्रकार सरदार पटेल के बड़े भाई विट्ठलभाई पटेल-जिनका विएना में निधन हो गया था-के अंतिम संस्कार में मदद की थी, उससे दोनों के मध्य आपसी प्रेम और सम्मान की भावना का पता चलता है। अपने समय के चार दिग्गजों के परस्पर संबंधों और विचारों की झलक देती महत्त्वपूर्ण पुस्तक।
