- Description: हल्के-फुल्के में दीर्घकाय रचनाएँ चंद ही हैं, ये मजाक की संजीदगी को परत-दर-परत, आहिस्ता-आहिस्ता उघाड़ती हैं। इनमें ‘भुखमरे’ और ‘साठवाँ’ खास तवज्जुह की डिमांड करती हैं। व्यक्तिगत त्रासदी किस तरह अनुभूति की गहराई में उमड़-घुमड़कर सामुदायिक विडंबना को रूपाकर दे सकती है, इसका उम्दा नमूना। और अंत में, दो बिल्कुल अलग तरह की रचनाओं का जिक्र न करना नाइनसाफी होगी। ये दोनों हिंदुस्तानी सिनेमा के प्रति उनके गहरे लगाव और समझ की नायाब मिसाल हैं। एक, हिंदी फिल्म संगीत के स्वर्णकालीन जादूगर ओ.पी. नैयर का इंटरव्यू यह ‘अहा! जिंदगी’ के अक्तूबर 2006 के अंक में प्रकाशित हुआ था। संयोग की विडंबना कि जनवरी 2007 में नैयर साहब का इंतकाल हुआ। यह उनकी जिंदगी का आखिरी इंटरव्यू है, जो उनकी पर्सनैलिटी के मानिंद ही बिंदास है। सिने-संगीत का वह करिश्मासाज संगीतकार, जिसने सार्वकालिक मानी जानेवाली गायिका भारत-रत्न लता मंगेशकर की आवाज का कभी इस्तेमाल नहीं किया। तब भी स्वर्ण युग में अपनी यश-पताका फहराकर दिखाई। दूसरी रचना है छह दशक पूर्व प्रदर्शित हुई राजकपूर निर्मित विलक्षण कृति ‘जागते रहो’ की रसमय मीमांसा। यह रचना ‘प्रगतिशील वसुधा’ के फिल्म-विशेषांक हेतु उनसे लिखवाने का सुयोग मुझे ही हासिल हुआ था। वहाँ वे कृति के मार्मिक विश्लेषण के साथ ही कृतिकार और समूचे सिनेमा से अपने अंतरंग लगाव का बेहद दिलचस्प, बेबाक बयान करने से भी नहीं चूकते। मुझे यकीन है कि रसिक पाठक इस पुरकशिश किताब का भरपूर लुत्फ उठाएँगे। —प्रह्लाद अग्रवाल सतना, 15 अगस्त, 2017
