It suggests the union between two forces — Shiv and Shakti. The essential elements in a cosmic planning. lf shiv is a great lover then Sati too is not wanting in longing for his love. However as it is sati’s father, great Prajapathi Daksh, the son of Brahma keeps an umbrage against shiv. He abhors shiv and Is openly against the matrimonial alliance between his daughter sati and shiv. From the very beginning sati knows that shiv is her eternal spouse. But Prajapathi Daksh is bent upon destroying this relationship. However by quirk of fate sati is married to shiv. Not withstanding all resistance, Daksh is compelled to give his daughter away to the person he dislikes most, Shiv. Deeply hurt Daksh is now looking for a chance to insult his son in law when he arranges a yagya and doesn't invite them. Sati burns her out there in yog Agni. | have presented this so repeated story from a different angle. The first person narration here has been used for the expansion of philosophy and thought that result in giving a contemporary canvas. | have visualised myself as Sati for exploring the in-depth feelings and emotions of a woman. The use of the montage technique has allowed me to pick up some stories from countless stories of shiv and sati and put them into an imaginative, an unputdownable literary piece.

- Description: एक मानवीय इकाई के रूप में स्त्री और पुरुष, दोनों अपने समय व यथार्थ के साझे भोक्ता हैं लेकिन परिस्थितियाँ समान होने पर भी स्त्री-दृष्टि दमन के जिन अनुभवों व मन:स्थितियों से बन रही है, मुक्ति की आकांक्षा जिस तरह करवटें बदल रही है, उसमें यह स्वाभाविक है कि साहित्यिक संरचना तथा आलोचना, दोनों की प्रणालियाँ बदलें। स्त्री-लेखन स्त्री की चिन्तनशील मनीषा के विकास का ही ग्राफ़ है जिससे सामाजिक इतिहास का मानचित्र गढ़ा जाता है और जेंडर तथा साहित्य पर हमारा दिशा-बोध निर्धारित होता है। भारतीय समाज में जाति एवं वर्ग की संरचना जेंडर की अवधारणा और स्त्री-अस्मिता को कई स्तरों पर प्रभावित करती है। स्त्री-कविता पर केन्द्रित प्रस्तुत अध्ययन जो कि तीन खंडों में संयोजित है, स्त्री-रचनाशीलता को समझने का उपक्रम है, उसका निष्कर्ष नहीं। पहले खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : पक्ष और परिप्रेक्ष्य' में स्त्री-कविता की प्रस्तावना के साथ-साथ गगन गिल, कात्यायनी, अनामिका, सविता सिंह, नीलेश रघुवंशी, निर्मला पुतुल और सुशीला टाकभौरे पर विस्तृत लेख हैं। एक अर्थ में ये सभी वर्तमान साहित्यिक परिदृश्य में विविध स्त्री-स्वरों का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही हैं। उनकी कविता में स्त्री-पक्ष के साथ-साथ अन्य सभी पक्षों को आलोचना के केन्द्र में रखा गया है, जिससे स्त्री-कविता का बहुआयामी रूप उभरता है। दूसरा खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : पहचान और द्वन्द्व' स्त्री-कविता की अवधारणा को लेकर स्त्री-पुरुष रचनाकारों से बातचीत पर आधारित है। इन रचनाकारों की बातों से उनकी कविताओं का मिलान करने पर उनके रचना-जगत को समझने में तो सहायता मिलती ही है, स्त्री-कविता सम्बन्धी उनकी सोच भी स्पष्ट होती है। स्त्री-कविता को लेकर स्त्री-दृष्टि और पुरुष-दृष्टि में जो साम्य और अन्तर है, उसे भी इन साक्षात्कारों में पढ़ा जा सकता है। तीसरा खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : संचयन' के रूप में प्रस्तावित है...। इन सारे प्रयत्नों की सार्थकता इसी बात में है कि स्त्री-कविता के माध्यम से साहित्य और जेंडर के सम्बन्ध को समझते हुए मूल्यांकन की उदार कसौटियों का निर्माण हो सके जिसमें सबका स्वर शामिल हो।
