- Description: एक मानवीय इकाई के रूप में स्त्री और पुरुष, दोनों अपने समय व यथार्थ के साझे भोक्ता हैं लेकिन परिस्थितियाँ समान होने पर भी स्त्री-दृष्टि दमन के जिन अनुभवों व मन:स्थितियों से बन रही है, मुक्ति की आकांक्षा जिस तरह करवटें बदल रही है, उसमें यह स्वाभाविक है कि साहित्यिक संरचना तथा आलोचना, दोनों की प्रणालियाँ बदलें। स्त्री-लेखन स्त्री की चिन्तनशील मनीषा के विकास का ही ग्राफ़ है जिससे सामाजिक इतिहास का मानचित्र गढ़ा जाता है और जेंडर तथा साहित्य पर हमारा दिशा-बोध निर्धारित होता है। भारतीय समाज में जाति एवं वर्ग की संरचना जेंडर की अवधारणा और स्त्री-अस्मिता को कई स्तरों पर प्रभावित करती है। स्त्री-कविता पर केन्द्रित प्रस्तुत अध्ययन जो कि तीन खंडों में संयोजित है, स्त्री-रचनाशीलता को समझने का उपक्रम है, उसका निष्कर्ष नहीं। पहले खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : पक्ष और परिप्रेक्ष्य' में स्त्री-कविता की प्रस्तावना के साथ-साथ गगन गिल, कात्यायनी, अनामिका, सविता सिंह, नीलेश रघुवंशी, निर्मला पुतुल और सुशीला टाकभौरे पर विस्तृत लेख हैं। एक अर्थ में ये सभी वर्तमान साहित्यिक परिदृश्य में विविध स्त्री-स्वरों का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही हैं। उनकी कविता में स्त्री-पक्ष के साथ-साथ अन्य सभी पक्षों को आलोचना के केन्द्र में रखा गया है, जिससे स्त्री-कविता का बहुआयामी रूप उभरता है। दूसरा खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : पहचान और द्वन्द्व' स्त्री-कविता की अवधारणा को लेकर स्त्री-पुरुष रचनाकारों से बातचीत पर आधारित है। इन रचनाकारों की बातों से उनकी कविताओं का मिलान करने पर उनके रचना-जगत को समझने में तो सहायता मिलती ही है, स्त्री-कविता सम्बन्धी उनकी सोच भी स्पष्ट होती है। स्त्री-कविता को लेकर स्त्री-दृष्टि और पुरुष-दृष्टि में जो साम्य और अन्तर है, उसे भी इन साक्षात्कारों में पढ़ा जा सकता है। तीसरा खंड, 'स्त्री-कविता : संचयन' के रूप में प्रस्तावित है...। इन सारे प्रयत्नों की सार्थकता इसी बात में है कि स्त्री-कविता के माध्यम से साहित्य और जेंडर के सम्बन्ध को समझते हुए मूल्यांकन की उदार कसौटियों का निर्माण हो सके जिसमें सबका स्वर शामिल हो।

- Description: यह किताब जीवन के दो पक्षों के बारे में है। एक स्त्री का और दूसरा उपनिवेश का। न इस उपनिवेश को समझना आसान है और न स्त्री को। अगर यह उपनिवेश वही होता जिससे बीसवीं सदी के मध्य में कई देशों और सभ्यताओं ने मुक्ति पाई थी तो शायद हम इसे राजनीतिक और आर्थिक परतंत्रता की संरचना करार दे सकते थे। अगर यह उपनिवेश वही होता जिससे लड़ने के लिए राष्ट्रवादी क्रान्तियाँ की गई थीं और आत्मनिर्भर अर्थव्यवस्था की अवधारणा पेश की गई थी तो शायद हम इसके ख़िलाफ़ उपनिवेशवाद विरोधी प्रत्यय की रचना आसानी से कर सकते थे। यह नवउपनिवेश के नाम से परिभाषित हो चुकी अन्तरराष्ट्रीय वित्तीय पूँजी की अप्रत्यक्ष हुकूमत भी नहीं है। यह तो अन्तराष्ट्रीय वित्तीय पूँजी, पितृसत्ता, इतरलिंगी यौन चुनाव और पुरुष-वर्चस्व की ज्ञानमीमांसा का उपनिवेश है जिसकी सीमाएँ मनोजगत से व्यवहार-जगत तक और राजसत्ता से परिवार तक फैली हैं। दूसरे पक्ष में होते हुए भी स्त्री पाले के दूसरी तरफ़ नहीं है। वह उपनिवेश के बीच में खड़ी है। उपनिवेश के ख़िलाफ़ संघर्ष उसका आत्म-संघर्ष भी है और यही स्थिति स्त्री को समझने की मुश्किलों के कारण बनी हुई है। स्त्री मुक्ति-कामना से छटपटा रही है लेकिन उपनिवेश के वर्चस्व से उसका मनोजगत आज भी आक्रान्त है। गुज़रे ज़मानों के उपनिवेशवाद विरोधी संघर्षों की तरह औरत की दुनिया के सिपहसालार उपनिवेश के साथ हाथ-भर का वह अन्तराल स्थापित नहीं कर पाए हैं जो इस लड़ाई में कामयाबी की पहली शर्त है। ‘उपनिवेश में स्त्री : मुक्ति-कामना की दस वार्ताएँ’ इस अन्तराल की स्थापना की दिशा में एक प्रयास है। ये वार्ताएँ कारख़ाने और दफ़्तर में काम करती हुई स्त्री, लिखती-रचती हुई स्त्री, प्रेम के द्वन्द्व में उलझी हुई स्त्री, मानवीय गरिमा की खोज में जुटी हुई स्त्री, बौद्धिक बनती हुई स्त्री और भाषा व विमर्श के संजाल में फँसी हुई स्त्री से सम्बन्धित हैं।

Advani's blogs provide a rare insight into history for the young Indian, restless to do his bit in shaping the future of his country. They take him through the turmoil and toil of leaders like Sardar Patel and their distinctive contribution to shaping today's India. Advani's blogs have a dual purpose: they mirror an era gone by and yet link its relevance to an India, raring to take on the world. The blogs, therefore, successfully merge two periods: one to which Advani himself belongs with another which sees him as a mentor. That Advani has been a consequential politician is a given. As a protagonist in the political playfield spanning decades, he, along with Atal Behari Vajpayee, not only formed the Bharatiya Janata Party but transformed it dramatically. If the BJP is nationally in the reckoning today, it is because of the Atal-Advani vision of bringing it centre-stage from the margins. It is through this journey that he redefined secularism. During his historic yatras, including the Ramjanambhoomi and Somnath to Ayodhya, the country was compelled to redefine secularism and distinguish it from the pseudo-secularism handed down by adversaries.
