Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, fondly known as Sam Bahadur, was one of the greatest war heroes and military leaders India has produced. He became a household name in India and was hailed as a legendary soldier and an inspiration to his fellow citizens for crafting India's greatest military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war as Chief of Staff (1969-73) of the Indian armed forces. Spanning four decades, he served the country gloriously through five wars—World War II, The Indo-Pakistani War of Partition (1947), the Sino-Indian War (1962), and the India-Pakistan wars (1965 and 1971). The first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the five-star rank of Field Marshal, Sam Bahadur continues to be the most admired war hero of our army chiefs. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, a master stock investor and an Indian business magnate was born on July 5, 1960, in a Rajasthani family in Mumbai. He managed his portfolio as a partner in his wealth management firm called ‘Rare Enterprises.’ He was popularly known as the ‘Warren Buffett of India’ and the ‘Big Bull of India.’ Rakesh got the nickname ‘Big Bull’ due to his bullish outlook on India’s growth. He worked as the chairman of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment and Aptech. Stocks from organisations like Star Health, Nazara Technologies, Tata Motors, Agro Tech Foods, Canara Bank, Escorts, Rallis India, and Titan are among Jhunjhunwala’s inventory. Additionally, he had invested in several startups. He also served on the board of several organisations. In December 2021, he invested in India’s cheapest airline, Akasa Air. On August 14, 2022, India lost its ‘Big Bull’ after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The Big Bull survived through his wife, Rekha Jhunjhunwala and their three children.
