- Description: सन 1971 के मार्च महीने से लेकर दिसंबर तक के नौ महीनों के मुक्तियुद्ध का परिणाम है बांग्लादेश। मार्च के महीने में ही स्थितियाँ बिगडऩी शुरू हो गई थीं। पूर्वी और पश्चिमी पाकिस्तान के बीच कड़वाहट और तेज हो गई थी। यह कहानी उसी अल्बर्ट एक्का की है, जिस अल्बर्ट ने 1962 के चीन के साथ युद्ध में भाग लिया और 1971 के युद्ध में भी, लेकिन 1971 के युद्ध में वे शहीद हो गए। 44 साल बाद उनकी मिट्टी उनके गाँव आई और 46 साल बाद उनकी कथा लिपिबद्ध की जा रही है। इस दीर्घावधि सालों में शंख और महानंदा में न जाने कितना पानी बह गया। परमवीर के संगी-साथी उनके बचपन की यादें-बातें बताने को रहे नहीं। गाँव वैसा ही है, जैसा वे छोड़ गए थे। परमवीर का परिवार संघर्ष करते हुए आगे बढ़ता रहा। प्रस्तुत पुस्तक में डॉ. शिवप्रसाद सिंह का एक लेख, डॉ. धर्मवीर भारती का चर्चित यात्रा-वृत्तांत और एक रिपोर्ट भी है। इनके साथ ही विष्णुकांत शास्त्रीजी का एक रिपोर्ताज भी यहाँ दिया जा रहा है। इन रचनाओं से गुजरते हुए पाठक उस समय के कराह, द्वंद्व, संघर्ष और नरसंहार को भीतर तक महसूस कर सकेंगे। एक ही धर्म के माननेवाले कैसे एक-दूसरे के खून के प्यासे हो गए थे। दुनिया में यह अकेला युद्ध था, जिसकी पृष्ठभूमि में धर्म नहीं, भाषा थी। धर्म के आधार पर बँटा यह देश भाषा के कारण अलग हो गया। 1971 के युद्ध के हीरो, बांग्लादेश बनाने में सहायक रहे जाँबाज परमवीर अल्बर्ट एक्का की रोमांचक और प्रेरक कहानी।

यह किताब खुद को रचने और अपनी बात पहुँचाने की सुजाता पारमिता की अन्तिम कोशिश और अन्तिम पुकार है। अनवरत संघर्ष में कुछ पलों के सर्जनात्मक संयोजन से ही यह किताब निर्मित हो पाई है जिसे खुद सुजाता ने तैयार किया। किताब में कुल पच्चीस आलेख शामिल हैं। किताब का पहला लेख ‘खैरलांजी-दलित-नरसंहार’ भारत में जाति आधारित नरसंहार का मानचित्र प्रस्तुत करता है। सवर्ण समाज के हित में कार्य करनेवाली सरकारों के औचित्य पर सवाल खड़ा करनेवाले इस आलेख की जद में न्याय व्यवस्था भी है। खैरलांजी हत्याकांड सन् 2006 में हुआ था। इस हत्याकांड में एक महार परिवार के सभी सदस्यों की बहुत बेदर्दी से हत्या कर दी गई थी। अब पीड़ित परिवार का अन्तिम परिजन भी न्याय की आशा में दुनिया छोड़ चुका है।
सुजाता फुले-अम्बेडकरी चिन्तन से निर्मित थीं। वह जानती थीं कि दूसरे संस्थानों की तरह देश की न्याय व्यावस्था भी जातिवादी सोच के नियन्त्रण में है, इस मामले में उससे न्याय नहीं हो पाएगा। और ऐसा ही हुआ।
