साहित्य में मंज़रनामा एक मुकम्मिल फ़ॉर्म है। यह एक ऐसी विधा है जिसे पाठक बिना किसी रुकावट के रचना का मूल आस्वाद लेते हुए पढ़ सकें। लेकिन मंज़रनामा का अन्दाज़े-बयान अमूमन मूल रचना से अलग हो जाता है या यूँ कहें कि वह मूल रचना का इन्टरप्रेटेशन हो जाता है।
मंज़रनामा पेश करने का एक उद्देश्य तो यह है कि पाठक इस फ़ॉर्म से रू-ब-रू हो सकें और दूसरा यह कि टी.वी. और सिनेमा में दिलचस्पी रखनेवाले लोग यह देख-जान सकें कि किसी कृति को किस तरह मंज़रनामे की शक्ल दी जाती है। टी.वी. की आमद से मंज़रनामों की ज़रूरत में बहुत इज़ाफ़ा हो गया है।
‘मासूम’ गुलज़ार की बेहद लोकप्रिय फ़िल्मों में रही है। यह इसी फ़िल्म का मंज़रनामा है। गुलज़ार का ही लिखा हुआ इस फ़िल्म का एक गाना ‘लकड़ी की काठी…’ आज भी बच्चों की ज़ुबान पर रहता है। पिता के नाम को तरसते एक मासूम बच्चे के इर्द–गिर्द बुनी हुई यह अत्यन्त संवेदनशील और भावप्रवण फ़िल्म मूलत: रिश्तों के बदलते हुए ‘फ़्रेम्स’ की कहानी है। एक तरफ़ रिश्तों का एक परिभाषित व मान्य रूप है और दूसरी तरफ़ वह रूप, जिसे सामान्यत: समाज का समर्थन नहीं होता। लेकिन अन्तत: लम्बे तनाव के बाद जीत मानवीय संवेदना और प्रेम की ही होती है। यही इस फ़िल्म का मन्तव्य है।
निश्चय ही यह कृति पाठकों को औपन्यासिक रचना का आस्वाद प्रदान करेगी।

- Description: शिवराज सिंह चौहान — 5 अप्रैल, 1959 को मध्यमवर्गीय परिवार में जन्म श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान अपनी सादगी, सहजता और कर्मठता के लिए राजनीति में अलग पहचान रखते हैं। उन्हें विरासत में राजनीति नहीं मिली। दर्शनशास्त्र में स्वर्ण पदक के साथ स्नातकोत्तर की शिक्षा पानेवाले शिवराज को आपातकाल का विरोध करने के कारण स्कूली जीवन में ही जेलयात्रा करनी पड़ी। अपने आरंभिक राजनीतिक काल में ही वे एक कुशल वक्ता के रूप में स्थापित हो गए थे। उनकी यह विशेषता उनके भाषणों में देखी जा सकती है। विद्यार्थी काल से सार्वजनिक जीवन में सक्रिय रहनेवाले शिवराज ने अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद से अपनी यात्रा आरंभ करते हुए भारतीय जनता युवा मोर्चा में प्रदेश व राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर नेतृत्व प्रदान किया। 1990 में पहली बार बुधनी विधानसभा से भारतीय जनता पार्टी से विधायक निर्वाचित हुए और अगले ही वर्ष विदिशा लोकसभा से उपचुनाव लड़कर सांसद चुने गए। उसके बाद 1996, 1998, 1999 व 2004 में लगातार सांसद निर्वाचित हुए। 2005 में पार्टी ने उन्हें मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री पद की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी। वे मध्यप्रदेश में सबसे लंबे समय तक मुख्यमंत्री रहनेवाले राजनीतिज्ञ हैं। शुरुआती राजनीतिक जीवन में पैदल यात्रा करने के कारण वे 'पाँव-पाँववाले भैया' कहलाए तो मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में जन कल्याणकारी कार्यक्रमों के चलते प्रदेश की जनता ने उन्हें अपना “मामा' मान लिया सांसद रहते हुए 2003 के विधानसभा चुनाव को छोड़कर कभी भी चुनावी पराजय का सामना नहीं करना पड़ा। मध्य प्रदेश विधानसभा में दिए गए अपने भाषणों में उन्होंने सदन की गरिमा और मर्यादा को हमेशा बनाए रखा। विरोधियों पर कटाक्ष और तर्कपूर्ण हमलों के साथ ही उनके प्रति आदरभाव में कभी कोई कमी नहीं आने दी। उन्होंने प्रदेश के विविध पहलूओं के अलावा समसामयिक विषयों पर अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किए, जिनमें विकास की उनकी दृष्टि व अवधारणा समाहित रहती है तो सामाजिक मुद्दों पर उनका दृष्टिकोण व सोच उजागर होती है।

This poetic narrative, which records the life and adventures of the two cultural heroes of the Billava community, their yearning for cultivable land, their brave opposition to the established powerful classes, and their tragic end, is sung by the members of the particular communities called Pambada and Parava of coastal Karnataka, during the annual worship of the twin heroes. The oral epic, Koti Chennaya unravels the world of Billava community (traditionally toddy-tappers) of coastal Karnataka recording in the process the life and adventures as also the travails and tribulations of the two cultural heroes of Billava community. Most of the oral epics begin with a 'Creation Myth', which begins with the creation of the entire universe step by step, thus focuses on the legendary first parents/ancestors of the community concerned. Such a myth, besides glorifying the cultural heroes of the epic, gives a privileged position to the community by linking it with the rest of the world and gives it a socio-cultural identity. Koti Channaya also begins with a 'Creation Myth'.
