साहित्य में मंज़रनामा एक मुकम्मिल फ़ॉर्म है। यह एक ऐसी विधा है जिसे पाठक बिना किसी रुकावट के रचना का मूल आस्वाद लेते हुए पढ़ सकें। लेकिन मंज़रनामा का अन्दाज़े-बयान अमूमन मूल रचना से अलग हो जाता है या यूँ कहें कि वह मूल रचना का इन्टरप्रेटेशन हो जाता है।
मंज़रनामा पेश करने का एक उद्देश्य तो यह है कि पाठक इस फ़ॉर्म से रू-ब-रू हो सकें और दूसरा यह कि टी.वी. और सिनेमा में दिलचस्पी रखनेवाले लोग यह देख-जान सकें कि किसी कृति को किस तरह मंज़रनामे की शक्ल दी जाती है। टी.वी. की आमद से मंज़रनामों की ज़रूरत में बहुत इज़ाफ़ा हो गया है।
कथाकार, शायर, गीतकार, पटकथाकार गुलज़ार ने लीक से हटकर शरत्चन्द्र की-सी संवेदनात्मक मार्मिकता, सहानुभूति और करुणा से ओत-प्रोत कई उम्दा फ़िल्मों का निर्देशन किया जिनमें ‘मेरे अपने’, ‘अचानक’, ‘परिचय’, ‘आँधी’, ‘मौसम’, ‘ख़ुशबू’, ‘मीरा’, ‘किनारा’, ‘नमकीन’, ‘लेकिन’, ‘लिबास’, और ‘माचिस’ जैसी फ़िल्में शामिल हैं।
फ़िल्म ‘ख़ुशबू’ का मंज़रनामा शरत्चन्द्र के उपन्यास ‘पंडित मोशाय’ से प्रेरित है लेकिन पूरी तरह उसी पर आधारित नहीं है। शरत्चन्द्र के उपन्यास में प्लाट बहुत लम्बा और पेचीदा है लेकिन फ़िल्म ‘ख़ुशबू’ का मंज़रनामा लघु और प्रवाहमय है जो पाठकों को अपनी रौ में बहा ले जाने में सक्षम है। इसमें सबसे ज़्यादा प्रभावित करता है बृन्दावन और कुसुम का आपसी रिश्ता, जो रवायती कहानियों से काफ़ी अलग है। कुसुम की ख़ुद्दारी उसे बृन्दावन से अलग भी रखती है और जोड़े भी रखती है, इसलिए कि वह उसका हक़ है।
पाठक इस मंज़रनामे को पढ़कर औपन्यासिक कृति का आस्वाद प्राप्त करेंगे।

Indian diaspora has performed well on all important parameters — political, economical, technological and cultural. They are heading some of the top multinational companies and hold high positions in many international organisations, in a way making an important contribution to the evolving global agenda. Today, Indian diaspora is investing in creating jobs and cutting edge technologies world over. India has also done very well in reaching out to its diaspora through various channels, including the youth. At over USD 75 billion annually, India is the top recipient of remittances. Diaspora could also be an important source of technology and know-how. Given their goodwill on both sides, they are a great source of confidence-building between India and countries of their adoption and have demonstrated their clout on many occasions. Over the last many centuries, Indians have travelled to many near and far off destinations in the world for trade, business, education and jobs. One major wave of such movement was carried out by the colonial administration under the so called indentured system for meeting labour shortages in their overseas plantations. This inhuman system of exploitation of workers finally ended and the centenary of its abolition was commemorated in many parts of the world including India during 2017-18. Antar Rashtrya Sahyog Parishad (ARSP) had organised year-long activities to mark this important landmark in the life of the Indian diaspora, culminating with an international conference on the topic, ‘Contribution of Diaspora in Nation Building’ in Mauritius in July 2018. Several leaders and scholars addressed this gathering, and this publication captures the essence of its outcomes. This publication could be a good reference for students and scholars working on diaspora.

- Description: पिछले कुछ समय से राजनीतिक मजबूरियों के कारण वामपंथी और तथाकथित धर्मनिरपेक्ष दल स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ की भूमिका के विषय में दुष्प्रचार कर रहे हैं और जनसेवा में इसके बेहतरीन रिकॉर्ड पर कीचड़ उछाल रहे हैं। यह पुस्तक हमें बताती है कि संघ अपने जन्म से ही स्वराज के प्रति समर्पित था। डॉ. हेडगेवार का जीवन और वह शपथ, जो स्वयंसेवक लेते थे, स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के प्रति समर्पण को स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाते हैं। इस स्वतंत्रता को स्वराज में बदलने के लिए भारत को अनुशासित और साहस रखनेवाले युवाओं की आवश्यकता थी, जो राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पित हों। ब्रिटिश दस्तावेज स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाते हैं कि वे स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में संघ की बढ़ती ताकत को लेकर सतर्क थे। स्वतंत्रता का आंदोलन 15 अगस्त, 1947 को ‘ट्रिस्ट विद डेस्टिनी’ (भाग्य के साथ मुलाकात) से समाप्त नहीं हुआ, बल्कि शुरू हुआ अंतहीन अँधेरी रातों का भयावह सिलसिला, जब सुरक्षाबलों के अतिरिक्त सबसे संगठित बल के रूप में संघ के कार्यकर्ताओं ने तबाह हुई लाखों लोगों की जिंदगी से जो कुछ बचा सकते थे, उसके लिए अपने प्राणों को खतरे में डाला। यह फैसला भारत के लोगों और इतिहास को करना है कि साहस की ऐसी काररवाई देशभक्ति थी या सांप्रदायिक। लेखक अन्य तथ्यों पर प्रकाश डालते हैं, जिनके कारण हमें स्वतंत्रता मिली और यह रेखांकित करते हैं कि स्वाधीनता किसी एक आंदोलन या काररवाई का परिणाम नहीं थी, बल्कि एक लहर के साथ धीरे-धीरे बढ़ी, जिसका निर्माण भारत के महान् आध्यात्मिक गुरुओं के कारण शुरू हुए सांस्कृतिक पुनर्जागरण से हुआ था।

- Description: यश चोपड़ा रूमान के जादूगर थे। उन्होंने हिन्दी सिनेमा में तीन पीढ़ियों के साथ सफ़र किया। जब यश चोपड़ा ने अपनी रचना-यात्रा शुरू की तब महबूब, बिमल राय, राजकपूर, गुरुदत्त, विजय आनन्द वग़ैरह का गौरवगान था और फिर वे सूरज बड़जात्या, करन जौहर, संजय लीला भंसाली, राम गोपाल वर्मा और आशुतोष गोवारीकर जैसे फ़िल्मकारों की पीढ़ी के साथ सृजनरत रहे। इस पीढ़ी के साथ सफ़र करते हुए उन्होंने ‘डर’, ‘दिल तो पागल है’ और ‘वीर जारा’ जैसी फ़िल्में बनाईं जिनसे वे सिर्फ़ रोमान के बादशाह ही साबित नहीं हुए—वरन् नई पीढ़ी के साथ इस तरह खड़े हुए कि उसके मार्गदर्शक भी बन गए। पर हमारे इस आख्यान के कथानायक मात्र ‘निर्देशक’ यश चोपड़ा हैं। वे फ़िल्म निर्देशक होने के साथ ही और भी बहुत कुछ थे। फ़िल्म-निर्माता से लेकर स्टूडियो के मालिक तक और फिर फिल्मोद्योग के एक एम्बेसेडर की तरह भी उन्हें देखा गया। इन तमाम रूपों के बीच से यह सिर्फ़ उस यश चोपड़ा का क़िस्सा है जिसने 1959 से 2004 के बीच पैंतीस सालों में इक्कीस फ़िल्मों का निर्देशन किया और अपने जीवनकाल में ही अपनी विरासत को अगली पीढ़ी के हाथों सौंप दिया और उसे अपने ज़माने से भी अधिक फलता-फूलता देखा।
