भीमराव रामजी आंबेडकर केवल भारतीय संविधान के निर्माता एवं करोड़ों शोषित-पीडि़त भारतीयों के मसीहा ही नहीं थे, वे अग्रणी समाज-सुधारक, श्रेष्ठ विचारक, तत्त्वचिंतक, अर्थशास्त्री, शिक्षाशास्त्री, पत्रकार, धर्म के ज्ञाता, कानून एवं नीति निर्माता और महान् राष्ट्रभक्त थे। उन्होंने समाज और राष्ट्रजीवन के हर पहलू पर अपनी अमिट छाप छोड़ी है। सामाजिक समता और बंधुता के आधार पर एक नूतन भारत के निर्माण की नींव रखी। उनका व्यक्तित्व एक विराट् सागर और कृतित्व उत्तुंग हिमालय जैसा था। विगत अनेक वर्षों से वैचारिक अस्पृश्यता और राजनीतिक स्वार्थ के लगातार बढ़ते जा रहे विस्तार ने हमारे जिन राष्ट्रनायकों के बारे में अनेक भ्रांतियुक्त धारणाओं को जनमानस में मजबूत करने का दूषित प्रयत्न किया है, उनमें डॉ. बाबासाहब आंबेडकर प्रमुख हैं। उन्हें किसी जाति या वर्ग विशेष अथवा दल विशेष तक सीमित कर दिए जाने के कारण सामाजिक समता-समरसता ही नहीं, राष्ट्रीय एकता की भी अपूरणीय क्षति हो रही है। इस दृष्टि से चार खंडों में उनका व्यक्तित्व-कृतित्व वर्णित है : खंड एक—‘जीवन दर्शन’, खंड दो—‘व्यक्ति दर्शन’, खंड तीन— ‘आयाम दर्शन’ और खंड चार ‘राष्ट्र दर्शन’। डॉ. बाबासाहब भीमराव आंबेडकर को समग्रता में प्रस्तुत करने वाला एक ऐसा अनन्य दस्तावेज है, जो उनके बारे में फैले या फैलाए गए सारे भ्रमों का निवारण करने में तो समर्थ है ही, साथ ही उन्हें एक चरम कोटि के दृष्टापुरुष तथा राष्ट्रनायक के रूप में प्रस्थापित करने में भी पूर्णतः सक्षम है।

In this book an attempt has been made to compare the two legendary writers by comparing the eastern way of thinking with the western way. Shakespeare is amongst the writers Sri Aurobindo holds in high esteem. Sri Aurobindo’s admiration for the great dramatist resulted in obvious Shakespearean influences on him. He adopts for his plays Elizabethan model of drama perfected by Shakespeare’s genius. Shakespeare’s influence is traceable also in Sri Aurobindo’s sonnets. It is said that Sri Aurobindo had Shakespearean literature on his bed-side when he left his mortal remains. Both the great writers were not satisfied by merely holding mirror to the nature but due to their greater and deeper life power, they recreated the human life in its beauty and completeness. Therefore, there is an obvious need to compare and contrast Shakeapeare and Sri Aurobindo so as to bring out affinities that may be there between their creative ideal and vision as well as their poetic and dramatic art, along with the former’s influence on the later. In this book an attempt has been made to fulfill the need and to contribute, in some measure to the appreciation of Sri Aurobindo’s poetry and plays. It also briefly touches upon Indian response to Shakespeare. It focuses mainly on Sri Aurobindo’s numerous insights and critical observations on him. To sum up writings of the two such outstanding writers, who represent two very different ways of thinking. On one hand Shakespeare potrays lot of blood shed, gory tales and a wild kind of poetic justice in his writings, but on the other hand Sri Aurobindo truely follows Indian ethos of non violence or ‘Ahimsa’. The author underlines the stark similarities and differences in both the writer’s exploring their plays and sonnets. The structure of plays and sonnets may be same of both the greatest minds but ethos and personna ingrained in their writings is quite different.

Selected Readings of Sri Ramanuja: Sri Ramanujacharya is one of the three great acharyas whose Sahasramanotsava was recently celebrated with pomp and gaiety. His contribution to the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden is noteworthy. In his lifetime of 120 years, he wrote many works to instil devotion in the minds of the masses by highlighting the concept of Saranagati or Prapatti (self-surrender to God). Both Oriental and Occidental scholars, such as Swami Vivekananda and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on the one hand, and Goethe, Ninian Smart, etc., on the other, have paid glowing tributes to Ramanuja. Ramanuja's service motive and his love and affection for the poor and uneducated masses are relevant for all times. The present work, in 25 chapters, highlights the contribution of the Vishishtadvaita system of philosophy to Indian tradition, and this is discussed under three heads, namely Precursors of Ramanuja, Ramanuja, and Successors of Ramanuja. The last chapter of the work highlights the relevance of Ramanuja to the 21st century, and, in toto, the book presents a synoptic view of the contribution of Ramanuja to Indian thought.

"From Hampi to Harappa" is considered among the top ten Telugu autobiographies of the twentieth century. Ramachandra's honesty, self-reflection, and the conflict between his traditional Vaishnava beliefs and modern education make this book remarkable. During the nationalist struggle, he was attracted to extremist ideas but found his own path again through personal struggles. It's astonishing that someone who was a great scholar in Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, and Prakrit, had to experience hunger and travel across India to find work to feed himself in the 1930s and 40s. The book is filled with unbelievable incidents, such as his mentor Veturi Prabhakara Sastry experiencing extreme hunger while the author survived on very little food. Similarly, he survived on Ganga water for almost a month while waiting in Kanpur for a conman who had promised a business partnership. He did a variety of jobs, including working as a cataloguer in manuscript libraries, a hotel worker, and a Havaldar clerk in the military, before finally settling in a newspaper. Through his experiences, Ramachandra provides us with glimpses of the civilizations around Hampi and Harappa and insights into modern India during the Independence Movement.
