Anahita Taymourian
Anahita Taymourian is an Iranian author and illustrator of children’s picture books. Born in Tehran, she has published multilingual works in English, Spanish, French and Persian. Her titles include My Moon, Our Moon (also published in Spanish as Mi Luna, Nuestra Luna) and Le petit oiseau rouge, and she is credited as illustrator on A Bird Like Himself. Taymourian’s books are produced in partnership with Tiny Owl Publishing and other independent imprints. Her work has been featured in international book fairs, including Bologna Children’s Book Fair, where Tiny Owl titles have received industry recognition. Her picture book There’s Room for Everyone is noted for its themes of empathy and inclusion. Her books have been translated into at least three additional languages, broadening their reach across Europe and the Middle East. Her earliest published work dates to the early 2010s, and she continues to produce books that combine delicate illustrations with simple narratives aimed at pre‑school and early‑primary readers.
