Ali Iman Naqvi
Ali Imam Naqvi was a renowned modern fiction writer, born on November 9, 1945. His father, Ameer Haider, was a successful businessman. Naqvi couldn't continue his education beyond matriculation and initially joined his father’s business, which he later left to work as a clerk at the Iranian Consulate. He began writing around 1970, with his first story, "Khiltey Huwey Bil," gaining recognition among literary readers. In 1980, he published his first story collection, "Naye Makaan ki Deemak." He later released four more collections: "Mubahilah," "Ghat’te Badhtey Saaye," "Mausam azaabon Ka," and "Kahi Unkahi." Naqvi also authored novels such as "Teen Batti ke Rama" and "Bisaat." His last novel vividly depicts the city of Bombay. Ali Imam Naqvi passed away on March 10, 2014.
