Vasanti Sankaranarayanan is a writer and translator. She has M.Lit and Ph.D degrees from the Madras University. She has worked as a freelance art critic for newspapers and magazines. She has written a short biography of Tipu Sultan, a poetry collection in Malayalam and a Children's book on elephant stories. Agnisakshi, Brashtu, Agneyam Kanchana Seetha, Ramayana Stories and Thattakam are the books translated by her.
