Dr Ravichandra P. Chittampalli was formerly professor and chair, Department of Studies in English, University of Mysore. He was formerly the principal of K. Thirumalachar Fellow, Dhanyaloka, Mysore; a Twice Shastri Fellow; and a major modernist Kannada novelist. The Avatars of Bhujangaiyah, his major novel, is on the postgraduate syllabus of the Kannada state Open University. His translation from Kannada to English has been published by the Sahitya Academy. His poems and research articles have been published in general and periodicals of national and international repute. He now lives in Malaysia and writes poetry in English.
