Ravi Korisettar is an archaeologist and an adjunct professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Bengaluru. He also serves as the Honorary Director of the Robert Bruce Foote Sanganakallu Archaeological Museum in Ballari. Previously, he was a professor of archaeology at Karnatak University in Dharwad. Korisettar is the author of several notable works, including "Quaternary Environments and Geoarchaeology of India," "Early Human Behavior in Global Context," "Indian Archaeology in Retrospect" (a four-volume series), and "Beyond Stones and More Stones" (also a four-volume series).
