About Muztar Khairabadi
Born in 1865 in Khairabad, Iftikhar Hussain is known by his pen name Muztar Khairabadi. He was the grandson of Fazl-e Haq Khairabadi, who was also a poet, a religious scholar and a freedom fighter. He was the father of poet and lyricist Jaan Nisar Akhtar and the grandfather of Javed Akhtar. This is a compilation of his poetry in Devanagari script.
