About K.S. Venkitachalam
He is a translator and critic, having translated twenty-eight books from Tamil and five from English. In 2017, he received the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for Translation for his work "Agraharamthile Poochha"—Jayakanthan's Eleven Stories—and the 'Nalli - Tishai Ettum' Award for his "Navina Tamil Cherukathal." He retired as a Department Manager from the State Bank of India in 2001 and currently resides in Kozhikode.
