About Dilip Kumar Barua
A distinguished Indian economist and educationist from Assam, he was widely known for popularising quizzing in the region.
Career: Served as the Principal of Cotton College, Guwahati.
Contributions: Organized the first quiz competition in Assam at Cotton College in 1964. He was a member of the Assam State 7th Pay Commission and various administrative reform bodies.
Authorship: Wrote several children’s books, including A Baby Hornbill Learns to Fly
