Dharanendra Kurakuri
Dharanendra Kurakuri, with about fifty years in the literary field, has published 28 original and translated works to date. He received the national translation award from then-President Shri Shankaradayal Sharma in 1996. His translation of Dr. Shantinath Desai's novel "Om Namo," which won the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, into Hindi is notable. He has translated works by renowned writers such as Lankesh, Mudnakudu Chinnaswamy, Champa, Dr. Basavaraja Sadar, and Na. Mogasale into Hindi. His Hindi translation of Champa's poetry collection "Sitayana" has been translated into Punjabi 66 times and published. The fact that his Hindi translations have been rendered into various languages highlights his translation talent. He has received numerous awards, including the "Tranakshri" award from the Indian Translation Council, Delhi, and the "Gaurava Award" from Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati, Karnataka.
