Amal lives in Bangalore with his wife and son. He was born and brought up in Lucknow. After completing his secondary education at La-Martiniere College in 2003, he completed his bachelor's in Technology and moved to Bangalore. He began writing during graduation and has been working on his storytelling skills. He started blogging and writing short stories. His short story, The Incomplete Syllable, was published in a literary magazine, Estrade, in December 2013. He has been exploring the longer writing format and has worked on improving various facets of storytelling and writing.
