At the age of seventy, Nanjil Nadan continues to be a prolific writer, actively creating fresh work and is considered one of the foremost writers in Tamil today. He has more than forty-five published works which include novels, short stories, articles and collections of poems. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Sahitya Akademi Award, Kalaimamani Award, Lyal Award and the Kannadasan Award. Born in Kanyakumari district, Nanjil Nadan has traveled extensively around India and the world.
