Motilal Oswal
Chairman and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. (MOFSL). He is a Chartered Accountant and started the business with co-promoter Mr Raamdeo Agrawal in 1987.
Mr Oswal has received the Rashtriya Samman Patra, awarded by the Government of India, for being among the highest income tax payers in the country for 5 years from FY95–FY99.
Mr Oswal has served on the governing board of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the IMC, and has also served on many committees of BSE, NSE, SEBI, and CDSL. He is also a board member and a Director of Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO).
The Indian Council of Management Executives (ICME) has awarded the Knight of the Millennium to Mr Oswal for the Capital Market.
Recently, Mr Oswal was conferred the "Udyog Rattan Award" for his outstanding contributions to the country's industrial development by the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi. He has also been inducted into the Franchising World Magazine Hall of Fame for excellence in franchising.
