Prof. Lalit Magotra, born in Jammu in 1944, completed his M.Sc. in Physics at Kashmir University and obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Jammu University in 1974. He is a renowned writer with accolades including a Sahitya Akademi Award and a Senior Fellowship in Literature from the Ministry of Culture. Currently, he is President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu and has served as convener of Dogri Language in Sahitya Akademi for two terms.
