Kovilan
Malayalam storyteller, novelist 'Kovilan' (Kandanakkeri Vattomparambil Velappan Ayyappan) (1923-2010): Born in Kandanakkeri near Guruvayur in Kerala, he completed his education at Pavaratti Sanskrit College and served in the Royal Indian Navy and the Corps of Signals.
