Kamesh Ramakrishna Aiyer grew up in Mumbai and graduated from IIT Kanpur. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he specialized in artificial intelligence. Over the years, he has held various positions, including professor, software engineer, software architect for foundational products, and CTO for a start-up.

For over twenty years, Kamesh has been a passionate student of history, archaeology, science, and philosophy, exploring the connections between these fields. His recent book, *The Last Matriarchs of Hastinapura* (2023), is the second volume in his series *Fall of the Kurus*. The first book, *The Making of Bhishma* (2019), received international critical acclaim.
