K. Damodar Rao retired as Associate Professor from the Department of English, Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has one critical work, six jointly edited collections of criticism to his credit. He compiled, edited and translated a period anthology of Telugu poetry, Pride of Place: Selections from Telugu Poetry 1981-2000 in 2011. He also compiled and edited two Telangana Movement Poetry anthologies, Scent of the Soil (2012) and Ode to Frontline Formations (2013). Dr. C. Narayana Reddy's Flames and the Man (2012) was published by Sahitya Akademi. His recently edited volumes are: Telangana Harvest: Telugu Short Fiction 1912-2011 (2017) with fifty Telugu short stories, Asitva: Telugu Short Fiction from Telangana (2018) with thirty five short stories and Parampara: Representative Poetry from Telangana (2019). Besides seven other translated works, he published a number of translated poems and stories in journals and anthologies.
