Hansa Deep was born in Meghnagar (District Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh) in 1958. Education - PhD in Hindi in 1990. Work - Assistant Professor in Bhopal and Vikram Universities, Hindi teaching in some institutions of New York, USA, Hindi Course Director in York University Toronto, currently working as a lecturer in the University of Toronto.

Many works published in leading Indian newspapers and magazines and broadcast on All India Radio, stories published regularly in Hindi magazines published from America and Canada. Translation of subtitles in Hindi for famous English films – Hannibal, The Mummy Returns, American Pie, Pennies from Heaven etc. Some stories translated and published in Marathi. Story collections “ Pravas mein aaspas” and “ Chashme apne-apne ” Dynamic Publications (India) Ltd., Delhi isbn=81-7933-220-9 Story collection and novels “ Kuber ” and “ Band Mutthi ” Shivna Paperbacks, Sehore, Bhopal isbn 9789381520-512 published. Gujarati translation of the novel ‘Band Mutthi’ published. Many editions of textbooks in English-Hindi for Hindi students published in Canadian universities.
