PhD graduate from Kannada University. Originally from the Dakshina Kannada district. Currently based in Bangalore. He has translated about 28 works from English and Konkani to Kannada and from Kannada to Konkani. He is the editor and translator of the Konkani volume in the multilingual translation project of Vachana Sahitya and Kanakadasa Samagra Sahitya. He has translated three of Dharmananda Kosambi's works, including his autobiography 'Nivedana', into Kannada. He has received translation awards from Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati Pradhikar and Karnataka Writers' Association for his translation work.
