- Description: यह समय ‘अस्मिता विमर्श’ का है। विमर्श सचेत करते हैं अधिकारों और दायित्वों के प्रति। विभिन्न स्तरों पर जारी ‘स्त्री विमर्श’ ने स्त्रियों से जुड़े अनेक सवालों को मुखर और प्रखर किया है। स्त्रियाँ स्वतंत्रता, सम्मान, समता और सहभागिता के लिए निरन्तर संघर्ष कर रही हैं। इस सन्दर्भ में यह जानना ज़रूरी हो जाता है कि भारत के संविधान ने महिलाओं को कौन-कौन से अधिकार दिए हैं। 'महिला सशक्तिकरण' को सच करते हुए क़ानून ने महिलाओं को क्या-क्या शक्तियाँ प्रदान की हैं। ज़ाहिर है कि इस लोकतंत्र में महिलाएँ यदि अपने अधिकारों को भली प्रकार जान जाएँ तो उनके 'अस्तित्व' का संघर्ष सरल और सकारात्मक हो जाएगा। ‘महिला अधिकार’ पुस्तक में ममता मेहरोत्रा ने मानवाधिकार को विश्व पटल पर रखकर स्त्री-प्रश्नों का विवेचन किया है। बीजिंग घोषणा-पत्र, वियना सम्मेलन—1993, भारतीय विधि आयोग की इक्कीसवीं रिपोर्ट के ज़रिए महिला अधिकारों के प्रति सामाजिक-वैधानिक सतर्कता का जायजा लिया गया है। सती प्रथा, डायन, विज्ञापन, मातृत्व, द्विविवाह, दहेज आदि पक्षों पर तर्कपूर्ण विचार करते हुए लेखिका ने इनके अनेक पक्षों का वर्णन किया है, विशेषत: क़ानूनी पक्ष का। पुस्तक की भाषा प्रवाहपूर्ण है, इसलिए पठनीयता भरपूर है। सचेत और सशक्त करती एक ज़रूरी किताब।

- Description: अमीर खुसरो फरसी, अरबी, तुर्की, संस्कृत तथा हिंदी के विद्वान् थे। उनका मूल नाम अबुल हसन था। 'खुसरो' उनका उपनाम था, जो आगे चलकर इतना चर्चित हुआ कि लोग उनका असली नाम ही भूल गए |जलालुद्दीन खिलजी ने उनकी कविता से प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें 'अमीर' का खिताब दिया, तब से वे 'अमीर खुसरो' कहे जाने लगे । खुसरो ने दस वर्ष की उम्र में ही काव्य-रचना शुरू कर दी थी। उन्होंने दर्शन, धर्मशास्त्र, इतिहास, युद्धविद्या, व्याकरण, ज्योतिष, संगीत आदि का गहन अध्ययन किया। उनकी पुस्तक 'लैला मजनू' से पता चलता है कि उनकी एक पुत्री तथा तीन पुत्र थे। खुसरो में देशप्रेम कूट-कूटकर भरा था। उन्हें अपनी मातृभूति भारत पर बड़ा गर्व था। उन्होंने एक स्थान पर कहा है-'मैं हिंदुस्तान की तूती हूँ। अगर तुम वास्तव में मुझसे जानना चाहते हो तो हिंदवी में पूछो, मैं तुम्हें अनुपम बातें बता सकूँगा।' खुसरो ने कई लाख शेर लिखे । इनकी कृतियों की संख्या ९९ बताई जाती है, परंतु अभी तक ४५ कृतियों का ही पता चला है। अमीर खुसरो एक बहुत अच्छे गायक और संगीतशास्त्री भी थे। संगीत के वाद्य और गेय दोनों ही क्षेत्रों में इनका योगदान रहा है। कई भाषाओं के प्रकांड विद्वान् और आपसी सद्भाव के प्रतीक अमीर खुसरो के जीवन-प्रसंग और उनके रचनासंसार से परिचित करानेवाली अनुपम पुस्तक।

- Description: "दीनदयाल उपाध्याय प्रणीत एकात्म मानववाद के संदर्भ में एक चर्चा होती रहती है कि यह ‘वाद’ है या ‘दर्शन’? ‘वाद’ पाश्चात्य परंपरा का वाहक है, जबकि ‘दर्शन’ भारतीय परंपरा का। ‘एकात्म मानव’ का विचार तत्त्वतः भारतीय विचार है, अतः इसे ‘दर्शन’ कहना चाहिए, कुछ लोगों का यह आग्रह रहता है, जो गलत नहीं है। मा. नानाजी देशमुख ‘दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान’ में ‘दर्शन’ शब्द का ही प्रयोग करते थे। यह बात ठीक होते हुए भी यह तथ्य है कि दीनदयाल उपाध्याय ने अपने बौद्धिक वर्गों में तथा ‘सिद्धांत एवं नीति’ प्रलेख में इसे ‘एकात्म मानववाद’ कहा है। मुंबई में जो उनके चार भाषण हुए, उनमें भी ‘एकात्म मानववाद’ शब्दपद का ही उपयोग है। पाश्चात्य चिंतन की पृष्ठभूमि में दीनदयालजी ने इस विचार का विवेचन किया है। व्यक्तिवाद व समाजवाद को उन्होंने पृष्ठभूमि में वर्णित किया है, अतः ‘एकात्म मानववाद’ भी एकदम संगत शब्द प्रयोग है। यथा रुचि ‘वाद या दर्शन’ दोनों का ही प्रयोग किया जा सकता है, यह कोई विवाद का मुद्दा नहीं है। "
