Azra Naqvi is a distinguished poet, short-story writer, and translator, renowned for translating modern Arabic stories. She has authored 11 Urdu books, including *Aangan Jab Pardes Hua*; her literary work includes ghazals, nazms, sher-o-shayari, and short stories. Her journey combines cross-cultural experiences and community involvement—from teaching, editorial work, and social service in Canada and Saudi Arabia—to her current role as Consultant Editor at Rekhta since 2017, where she has written, translated, and compiled 12 books in Urdu and Hindi. She is also leading the development of a Hindi-Urdu-English online dictionary for the Rekhta Foundation, and has translated notable works such as *Voices of Change* (a collection of Saudi women’s short stories) and *My Days in Mecca* into Urdu for Awaz The Voice & The Tribune. Her clear mission is to promote the Urdu language, fostering its learning and preservation, especially among younger generations. She is passionate about bridging literacy and cultural gaps through literature, translation, and storytelling.
