Deokinandan Gautam
A retired 1974-batch IPS Officer and renowned Vivekananda Scholar, writer, poet and playwright Deoki Nandan Gautam, was born on November 29, 1951, at Bilrahi village, in Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in his village and did MSc from Prayag Vishwavidyalaya. During his tenure as an IPS he did LLB and Phd. Retired as Director General of Police (Bihar) in July 2009 and than served as advisor to Jharkhand Government from January, 2011 to February, 2012. He delivered a speech on the Foundation Day Oration on ‘Relevence of Swami Vivekananda in 21st Century’ on January 29, 2012, in Kolkata which was appreciated all one. He has published in all fourteen books in Hindi and English. His articles are also published in ‘Prabuddha Bharat’ a monthly magazine established by Swami Vivekanand.
