Brigadier Khanduri served in the Indian Army for over three decades. He was commissioned in the Gorkha Regiment and participated in conflicts in the Congo as well as the Indo-Pak wars in 1965 and 1971. He holds a Master of Science degree and is a graduate of the Staff College. His published works include "Generals and Strategists: From Kautilya to Thimayya," "Volume III of the 1st Gorkha Regiment (1946-1990)," "Campaign in Korea," and "Indian Ocean: The US-Soviet Detente." Currently, he is writing his next book, titled "The Coming of the Gorkhas of the Indian Army," under a fellowship from the Indian Council of Historical Research. Additionally, he is involved in a project for the BP Koirala Foundation focused on Indo-Nepal relations.
