As the president of Bharat Dharma Mahamandal, he propagated Sanatan Dharma all over India and strengthened it socially and religiously. Many important books were published under his supervision. Maharaj Rameshwar Singh established many factories for economic development and played an important role in the establishment of Kashi Hindu University. He was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) and was promoted to a Knight Grand Commander (GCIE) and a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Civil Division (KBE).
