- Description: ‘सच्चा झूठ’ उपन्यास का विषय कोरोना काल है, और यह कहानियाँ सुनाता है उन लोगों की जो अपनी-अपनी जगहों पर, अपनी-अपनी हैसियत और हदों के साथ इस स्याह समय से गुज़रे, जिन्होंने इसकी तकलीफ़ों, डरों, सदमों और दुखों को कभी हिम्मत से तो कभी आशंकाओं के साथ झेला। यानी कथा है हम सब की। बहुत समय नहीं बीता है, जब सारी दुनिया अचानक कोरोना नाम की इस ख़ौफ़नाक महामारी के सामने असहाय हो गई थी। अमीर-ग़रीब, छोटे-बड़े, सब अचानक ऐसे हालात के सामने आ खड़े हुए जिनसे निबटने का तरीका किसी को नहीं आता था। एक नए ढंग की छुआछूत ने हम सबको अपनों तक से दूर कर दिया। शारीरिक दूरी की जगह सामाजिक दूरी ने ले ली और उन तमाम धागों को उधेड़ दिया, जो सामान्य समय में हमें एक समाज बनाते थे। इस उपन्यास में अलग-अलग पात्रों के हवाले से इस पूरे दौर की एक मुकम्मल तस्वीर प्रस्तुत की गई है। यहाँ एक तरफ़ अगर मौत का भय है, तो दूसरी तरफ़ हमारी सामाजिक-धार्मिक-आर्थिक उलझनें। कहीं पारिवारिक सम्बन्धों की दरकन दिखती है तो कहीं मनुष्यता के अनुकरणीय उदाहरण भी–यह उपन्यास इन सभी पहलुओं को बहुत बारीकी से अंकित करता है। एक प्रेम-कथा भी इस उपन्यास का हिस्सा है जो कोरोना के इसी भयानक दौर में धीर-धीरे परवान चढ़ती है, और कोरोना की चुनौती के साथ सामाजिक भेदभाव की बाधा को भी सफलतापूर्वक पार करती है।
