The ruins of the grand palace of Rajnagar in the present Madhubani district and many grand temples in that complex remind us of his glory. He was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) and was promoted to a Knight Grand Commander (GCIE) and a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Civil Division (KBE).
