साहित्य में ‘मंज़रनामा’ एक मुकम्मिल फ़ार्म है। यह एक ऐसी विधा है जिसे पाठक बिना किसी रुकावट के रचना का मूल आस्वाद लेते हुए पढ़ सकें। लेकिन मंज़रनामा का अन्दाज़े-बयाँ अमूमन मूल रचना से अलग हो जाता है या यूँ कहें कि वह मूल रचना का इंटरप्रेटेशन हो जाता है।
मंज़रनामा पेश करने का एक उद्देश्य तो यह है कि पाठक इस फ़ार्म से रू-ब-रू हो सकें और दूसरा यह कि टी.वी. और सिनेमा में दिलचस्पी रखनेवाले लोग यह देख-जान सकें कि किसी कृति को किस तरह मंज़रनामे की शक्ल दी जाती है। टी.वी. की आमद से मंज़रनामों की ज़रूरत में बहुत इज़ाफ़ा हो गया है।
‘कोशिश’ गुलज़ार की सबसे चर्चित और नई ज़मीन तोड़नेवाली फ़िल्मों में से है। गूँगे-बहरे लोगों के विषय में एक जापानी फ़िल्म से प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने हिन्दी में ऐसी एक फ़िल्म बनाने का जोखिम उठाया और एक मौलिक फ़िल्म-कृति हिन्दी दर्शकों को दी। फ़िल्म में कलाकारों के अभिनय और संवेदनशील निर्देशन के कारण इस फ़िल्म को क्लासिक फ़िल्मों में गिना जाता है। यह इसी फ़िल्म का मंज़रनामा है।
