- Description: ದೀಪವಿರದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ-ಈ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯನ್ನು ಲೇಖಕ ಸುಶಾಂತ ಕೊಟ್ಯಾನ್ ಅವರು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಡಾ. ಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮ ಬಿಳಿಮಲೆ, ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದು ‘ಸಲಿಂಗರತಿಯಂಥ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯು ಓದುಗರನ್ನು ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ನಾಯಕನಾದ ಸುಕೇಶನೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ವೇಷಧಾರಿ. ಇಡೀ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವಾಗ, ಸುಕೇಶನೊಳಗಿನ ಹೆಣ್ತನದ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ತಂದುಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನನ್ನು ಲೈಂಗಿಕವಾಗಿ ಶೋಷಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಬಯಲುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಐಉಃಖಿಕಿ ನ ಹಲವು ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಮುಖಗಳು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಓದುಗರನ್ನು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ‘ದೀಪವಿರದ ಕತ್ತಲ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು ಸುಕೇಶ. ಅವನು ಇಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಬಯಸಿದ ಬದುಕವನಿಗೆ ದೊರೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅಷ್ಟೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೂಡಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲೇರಿದ್ದ ರವಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಂಗಿರಣದ ಹೊಂಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಭುವಿಯೆಡೆಗೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಚಲಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಸುಕೇಶ ಅಂಧಕಾರದ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗಾಗಿ ಅರಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕತೆಯ ಆರಂಭ ಅವನ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೀಗ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಈ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯು ಲೈಂಗಿಕತೆಯ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಮಜಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಶೋಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ರವೀಂದ್ರ, ಆಕಾಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಕೇಶರ ನಡುವಣ ತ್ರಿಕೋನ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗಂಡಸರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ರಘುಪತಿಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳೂ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಗೇ ಸೆಕ್ಸ್ ವೀಡಿಯೋ ನೋಡುವ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಗುಜರಾತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಸ್ನೇಹ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜವು ತನ್ನ ಮೂಗಿನ ನೇರಕ್ಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂಥ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ತಣ್ಣಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ವಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ತೀರಾ ಹೊಸದು. ಕಾನೂನಿನ ತೊಡಕುಗಳು, ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಸ್ಥರ ಆಕ್ರಮಣ, ಮಡಿವಂತಿಕೆ, ನಿಷೇಧ, ಭಯ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವು ಮುಖ್ಯಧಾರೆಗೆ ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸುಶಾಂತ್ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾನ್ ತುಂಬ ಧೈರ್ಯವಹಿಸಿ ಈ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ನಮ್ಮ ಅರಿವಿನ ಗಡಿರೇಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
