5. संरक्षित क्षेत्रों को राष्ट्रीय परिप्रेक्ष्य में समझने के लिए आवश्यक मानचित्र दिए गए हैं। 6. संरक्षित क्षेत्रों के इतिहास और वर्तमान की विस्तृत जानकारियाँ विश्वकोश में संकलित हैं। आवश्यक स्थलों पर सन्दर्भ-ग्रन्थों का भी उल्लेख है। 7. विश्वकोश में संरक्षित क्षेत्रों की समकालीन घटनाओं और स्थिति को निरपेक्षता से प्रस्तुत किया गया है। तथ्यों की पुष्टि के लिए स्रोत को उद्धृत किया गया है। अंग्रेज़ी भाषा के स्रोतों को उद्धृत किया गया है। 8. विश्वकोश में पूरी तरह से हिन्दी भाषा का प्रयोग किया गया है अन्य भाषाएँ प्रमुख पाठ से अलग हाशिये पर या परिशिष्ट में ही देखी जा सकती हैं। परिशिष्ट में आधारभूत अध्ययन सामग्री की क्रमबद्ध सूचियाँ हैं। 9. विश्वकोश में प्रारम्भ से अन्त तक पठनीयता को बनाए रखा गया है। विश्वकोश की अनेक टिप्पणियाँ एवं आलेख स्वतंत्र रूप से पठनीय हैं।
