- Description: "स्वामी रामतीर्थ एक महान तत्वज्ञानी और धर्मोपदेशक थे। उनका जन्म 2 अक्तूबर, 1873 को पंजाब के गुजराँवाला जिले के मुरारीवाला गाँव में हुआ था। सन् 1901 में स्वामी रामतीर्थ ने संन्यास का व्रत ले लिया और भगवा धारण करके निकल पड़े। संन्यास धारण करने के बाद वे दुनिया भर में वेदांत का प्रचार करने की तैयारी में जुट गए। उन्होंने शास्त्रों और पश्चिमी दर्शन का गहन अध्ययन किया। वेदांत का प्रचार करने के उद्देश्य से सन् 1902 में स्वामी रामतीर्थ जापान गए। स्वामी रामतीर्थ अद्वैत वेदांत को अत्यंत सरल करके जनमानस के समक्ष इस तरह से रखा कि साधारण बुद्धिवाला व्यक्ति भी उससे लाभान्वित हो सके। उन्होंने मनुष्य को त्याग, आत्मविश्वास, कर्म, निष्ठा, निर्भयता, दृढ़ता, एकता और विश्व-प्रेम की व्यावहारिक शिक्षा देकर सत्य और मुक्ति का मार्ग दिखाया। स्वामी रामतीर्थ का संपूर्ण जीवन एवं उनके विचार मानव-जाति के लिए प्रेरणा के स्रोत हैं, जिसकी सहायता से मानव अपने जीवन-लक्ष्य की ओर आगे बढ़ सकते हैं।"
