- Description: "स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के क्रांतिदूत नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस का जन्म 23 जनवरी, 1897 को उड़ीसा के कटक शहर में हुआ था। बचपन से ही सुभाष पढ़ाई में बडे़ कुशाग्र बुद्धि के थे। इंग्लैंड से पढ़ाई करके लौटने पर सुभाष कलकत्ता के प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी देशबंधु चित्तरंजन दास के साथ काम करना चाहते थे। उन दिनों गांधीजी ने अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ असहयोग आंदोलन छेड़ रखा था। उनके साथ सुभाष बाबू उस आंदोलन में सहभागी हो गए और जल्द ही देश के एक महत्त्वपूर्ण युवा नेता बन गए। सन् 1928 में जब साइमन कमीशन भारत आया तो कलकत्ता में सुभाष बाबू ने इस आंदोलन का नेतृत्व किया। सुभाष बाबू गांधीजी और कांग्रेस के तौर-तरीकों से असहमत थे। गांधीजी के विरोध के बावजूद वे कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष चुने गए, पर कार्यकारिणी का सहयोग न मिलने पर उन्होंने त्याग-पत्र दे दिया। नजरबंदी में ब्रिटिश सरकार की आँखों में धूल झोंककर वे जापान पहुँचे और आजाद हिंद फौज की स्थापना की। उन्होंने नारा दिया—‘तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आजादी दूँगा।’ उन्होंने भारत की आजादी के लिए सशस्त्र संघर्ष किया। सुभाष की राष्ट्रभक्ति बेमिसाल है। उनकी मृत्यु के बारे में अभी तक रहस्य बना हुआ है। कहा जाता है कि 23 अगस्त, 1945 को उनका विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया था। राष्ट्रनायक सुभाष बाबू आज भी अदम्य प्रेरणा के स्रोत हैं।

- Description: ‘ठक्कर बापा’ अद्भुत व्यक्तित्व के स्वामी थे। लोगों का कहना था कि वे अपने आप में एक संस्था थे। वे जिस युग में थे, वहाँ समाज के दुर्बल अंग की उपेक्षा की जा रही थी; तब बापा ने दलितों और पिछड़े वर्ग को साथ लेकर प्रगति का रास्ता पकड़ा। उनकी अडिग लोक-सेवा ने हर दीन-दुःखी और गरीब को सम्मान दिया और उन्हें सबका बापा बना दिया। राष्ट्रपिता बापू भी उन्हें बापा ही कहा करते थे। अपने जीवन के अंतिम क्षण तक जिस अपूर्व निष्ठा, अनन्य भक्ति व अथक परिश्रम से उन्होंने अपना सेवा-व्रत निभाया, वह निस्संदेह बेजोड़ कहा जा सकता है। बापा विनम्रता और सरलता की मूरत थे; जब काका कालेलकर ने उनसे लेखन के लिए कहा तो वे बोले, ‘‘मेरे जीवन में ऐसा कुछ नहीं है, जो लिखने लायक हो।’’ उन्हें भाषण देना नहीं आता था और न ही वे साहित्यिक भाषा में लेख लिखते थे, बस उन्हें डायरी लिखने का शौक था। मानवता को सबसे बड़ा धर्म मानकर शोषित-उपेक्षितों के कल्याण और सुख के लिए अपना पूरा जीवन समर्पित करनेवाले सेवाव्रती कर्मयोगी ठक्कर बापा की प्रेरक-पठनीय जीवनी है यह पुस्तक।

- Description: इस किताब की बुनियादी दलील नारीवाद को पितृसत्ता पर अन्तिम विजय का जयघोष सिद्ध नहीं करती। इसके बजाय वह समाज के एक क्रमिक लेकिन निर्णायक रूपान्तरण पर ज़ोर देती है ताकि प्रदत्त अस्मिता के पुरातन चिह्नों की प्रासंगिकता हमेशा के लिए ख़त्म हो जाए। नारीवादी निगाह से देखने का आशय है मुख्यधारा तथा नारीवाद, दोनों की पेचीदगियों को लक्षित करना। यहाँ जैविक शरीर की निर्मिति, जाति-आधारित राजनीति द्वारा मुख्यधारा के नारीवाद की आलोचना, समान नागरिक संहिता, यौनिकता और यौनेच्छा, घरेलू श्रम के नारीवादीकरण तथा पितृसत्ता की छाया में पुरुषत्व के निर्माण जैसे मुद्दों की पड़ताल की गई है। एक तरह से यह किताब भारत की नारीवादी राजनीति में लम्बे समय से चली आ रही इस समझ को दोबारा केन्द्र में लाने का जतन करती है कि नारीवाद का सरोकार केवल ‘महिलाओं’ से नहीं है। इसके उलट, यह किताब बताती है कि नारीवादी राजनीति में कई प्रकार की सत्ता-संरचनाएँ सक्रिय हैं जो इस राजनीति का मुहावरा एक दूसरे से अलग-अलग बिन्दुओं पर अन्तःक्रिया करते हुए गढ़ती हैं।
