‘फिर उन्हीं लोगों से’ शीर्षक रचनावली के इस पहले खंड में रघुवीर सहाय की 1946 से 1990 तक की प्रकाशित-अप्रकाशित सम्पूर्ण कविताएँ संकलित हैं। इस खंड में शामिल कविता-संग्रहों के नाम हैं : ‘सीढ़ियों पर धूप में’ (1960), ‘आत्महत्या के विरुद्ध’ (1967), ‘हँसो, हँसो जल्दी हँसो’ (1975 ), ‘लोग भूल गए हैं’ (1982), ‘कुछ पते कुछ चिट्ठियाँ ' (1989) तथा ‘एक समय था’ (1995)। इन संग्रहों के अलावा बाद में मिली कुछ नई अप्रकाशित कविताएँ भी इस खंड में हैं। संग्रह के परिशिष्ट में ‘यह दुनिया बहुत बड़ी है, जीवन लम्बा है', शीर्षक से रघुवीर सहाय की सैकड़ों आरम्भिक कविताएँ संकलित हैं। रघुवीर सहाय ने अपने जीवनकाल में ही अपनी आरम्भिक कविताओं का संग्रह तैयार किया था, लेकिन अब तक यह अप्रकाशित था। कवि के काव्य-विकास को समझने की दृष्टि से यह सामग्री अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण है। परिशिष्ट में ही रघुवीर सहाय की बरस-दर-बरस ज़िन्दगी का ख़ाक़ा और सैकड़ों वर्षों का उनका वंश-वृक्ष भी दिया गया है। अपने नए कथ्य और शिल्प के कारण रघुवीर सहाय ने हिन्दी कविता को नया रूप दिया है। इस खंड की कविताओं में आप उस नए रूप को आसानी से पहचान सकते हैं।

- Description: ‘क्रान्तिकारी कवि निराला’ हिन्दी के महाप्राण कवि निराला के काव्यगत विकास-क्रम को उनके वैयक्तिक संघर्ष के सन्दर्भ में देखते हुए उनके जीवन, तत्कालीन परिस्थितियों और उनकी कविता की विशिष्टताओं का विवेचन करती है। गौरतलब है कि यह पुस्तक उस समय लिखी गई थी, जब हिन्दी आलोचना में निराला के कृतित्व को लेकर कोई सुसंयोजित काम नहीं हुआ था। गिराला और उनके समय के साथ-साथ यह पुस्तक छायावाद तथा उससे पहले की काव्य-प्रवृत्तियों पर भी टिप्पणी करती चलती है, विशेषतया छायावाद पर। डॉ. बच्चन सिंह कहते हैं कि छायावादी काव्य-सर्जना का सम्बन्ध कवि की निजी प्रेरणा से रहा और यह पारम्परिक कवि-प्रतिभा से भिन्न चीज थी। छायावादी या रोमैंटिक कवि के लिए उसके रचनात्मक क्षणों का महत्त्व सर्वोपरि होता है। इसीलिए निराला की कविता को समझने के लिए भी उनके व्यक्ति को जानना जरूरी है। इसी से हम यह जान पाते हैं कि प्रगतिवादी नहीं होते हुए भी उनकी कविता इतनी प्रगतिपरक कैसे है, और प्रयोगवादी न होते हुए भी कविताओं में इतने रूपात्मक प्रयोग वे कैसे कर सके। निराला के परिचय से लेकर यह पुस्तक उनकी कविता के निर्णायक पड़ावों से होती हुई उनकी रचना-प्रक्रिया के विश्लेषण तक जाती है। संलग्न परिशिष्ट में संकलित ‘राम की शक्तिपूजा’ और निराला की अंतिम कविता की समीक्षा इसे और संग्रहणीय बना देती है। निराला और उनकी कविता को जानने-समझने के लिए इस पुस्तक का विशेष महत्व है।

- Description: "इतना सुख है जीवन में! इतना कुछ है मेरे मन में! और अब तक मैं इससे वंचित था, अनजान था! भारतीय मध्यवर्ग में बढ़ती बाजारवाद, उपभोक्तावाद और भोगवाद की प्रवृत्तियों के संदर्भ में इससे बेहतर स्वीकारोक्ति नहीं हो सकती। लालसाएँ आदमी को घेरे रहती हैं, कुछ प्रत्यक्ष रूप में सामने आती हैं, तो कुछ अंतस में दबी रहती हैं और अनुकूल अवसर पाते ही पूर्ति हेतु सिर उठाने लगती हैं। लगता है जैसे आधुनिकतम महानगरीय मध्यवर्ग अपनी सभी लालसाओं की पूर्ति के लिए बेताब है। इसमें दो फाड़ की नौबत आ चुकी है। एक जो खुलकर इस खुलेपन को जी रहा है और दूसरे के पास आर्थिक संसाधन कम पड़ रहे हैं। ऐसे में उसे जब मौका मिलता है तो वह इसे जीने के लिए अपनी ओर से कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ता। बाजार इस वर्ग की मजबूरी और इच्छाओं को समझते हुए हमेशा चारा फेंकने की जुगत में रहता है। वह गैर-जरूरी चीजों के प्रति भी भ्रमपूर्ण लगाव पैदा कर भावनाओं का दोहन करने से नहीं चूकता। एक नई उपभोक्ता संस्कृति साकार ही नहीं हो रही, दिन-ब-दिन विकराल भी होती जा रही है। कुशल व्यवसायी सिर्फ माल नहीं बेच रहे, बड़ी चालाकी से विचार भी प्रत्यारोपित कर रहे हैं। उदारवाद के पीछे की चालाकी और चतुराई को उजागर करना नितांत आवश्यक हो गया है। ‘तीन दिन, दो रातें’ एक इनामी किस्से की कथा के बहाने इसी ज्वलंत समस्या को परत-दर-परत बेनकाब करता है। प्रसिद्ध लेखक वीरेंद्र जैन की यह खासियत है कि वे अपनी चुटीली भाषा-शैली के जरिए कथानक को चरम पर ले जाते वक्त भी यथार्थ को सहेजते हैं। इसीलिए उनका यह उपन्यास भौतिकवाद के विनाशकारी परिणामों का पुख्ता दस्तावेज बन पड़ा है।
