- Description: सब चौसठ की एक बरसती रात में दस सितंबर को मैं केसली जिला सागर में पैदा हुआ। केसली में इसलिये पैदा हुआ क्योंकि पिताजी सरकार की नौकरी कर रहे थे। बाद में वे नौकरी बदल कर खंडवा चले गये तो स्कूली शिक्षा-दीक्षा खंडवा मे हुई। पिताजी की देखा-देखी पढ़ने में दिलचस्पी जगी। बचपन की हर शाम खंडवा में माणिक्य वाचनालय में गुज़री किताबें पढ़ने के अलावा कुछ किया ही नहीं मैंने। कॉलेज की पढ़ाई नरसिंहपुर मे हुई और तेईस साल में सरकारी अफ्रसर हो गया। आजकल एडीशनल कमिश्रर एक्साइज़ म.प्र. हूँ और जीवन ठीक-ठीक बीत रहा है। आमतौर पर एक बार सरकार की नौकरी पा जाने के बाद आप निकाले नहीं जाते। आपको अपनी रोटी की चिंता करना नहीं होती, ऐसे में सरकारी नौकरी अच्छी छोकरी दिलवाती है। जिंदगी सुख से बीतती है। आप वह सब कुछ कर सकते हैं, जो आप करना चाहते हैं। सरकारी नौकरी के इन तमाम फ़ायदों के मज़े लूटने के बावजूद मैंने जीवन भर उतनी ही नौकरी की हमेशा, जितने में काम चल जाये। आप कम काम करते हैं तो कम ग़लतियाँ करते हैं और कम ग़लतियाँ करने वाला सरकारी आदमी हमेशा सुखी बना रहता है। कम काम करने का एक फ़ायदा और है। आपके पास वक़्त की। कमी नहीं होती। मैंने इस वक़्त का इस्तेमाल घूमने-फिरने, दुनिया और लोगों को समझने के अलावा फेसबुक पर लिखने-पढ़ने में किया। 'साहबनामा' व्यंग्य-संग्रह और 'तुम्हारी हँसी सदानीरा' काव्य संग्रह के बाद मेरी तीसरी किताब है यह। यह भी फुरसत के वक़्त में की गई लिखा-पढ़ी का ही नतीजा है। मैं उम्मीद करता हूँ, इसे आप पढ़ेंगे और यह आपको पसंद आयेगी।
