साहित्य में मंज़रनामा एक मुकम्मिल फ़ॉर्म है। यह एक ऐसी विधा है जिसे पाठक बिना किसी रुकावट के रचना का मूल आस्वाद लेते हुए पढ़ सकें। लेकिन मंज़रनामा का अन्दाज़े-बयान अमूमन मूल रचना से अलग हो जाता है या यूँ कहें कि वह मूल रचना का इन्टरप्रेटेशन हो जाता है।</p>
<p>मंज़रनामा पेश करने का एक उद्देश्य तो यह है कि पाठक इस फ़ॉर्म से रू-ब-रू हो सकें और दूसरा यह कि टी.वी. और सिनेमा में दिलचस्पी रखनेवाले लोग यह देख-जान सकें कि किसी कृति को किस तरह मंज़रनामे की शक्ल दी जाती है। टी.वी. की आमद से मंज़रनामों की ज़रूरत में बहुत इज़ाफ़ा हो गया है।</p>
<p>‘माचिस’ का मंज़रनामा पंजाब के उन हालात का चित्रण करता है जब वहाँ आतंकवाद का साया किसी अभिशाप की तरह मँडरा रहा था। ऐसे में सच और झूठ के बीच फ़र्क़ करना बहुत मुश्किल था। युवा पीढ़ी दिग्भ्रमित थी और व्यवस्था उसे समझने में चूक कर रही थी। पंजाब की हरियाली उदास थी और वहाँ की उमंगें घायल। विडम्बनाओं के भँवर में उलझी ज़िन्दगियों की मर्मस्पर्शी दास्तान प्रस्तुत करता यह मंज़रनामा बहुत ख़ास है।

Indian diaspora has performed well on all important parameters — political, economical, technological and cultural. Today, Indian diaspora is investing in creating jobs and cutting edge technologies world over. India has also done very well in reaching out to its diaspora through various channels, including the youth. At over USD 75 billion annually, India is the top recipient of remittances. Diaspora could also be an important source of technology and know-how. Given their goodwill on both sides, they are a great source of confidence-building between India and countries of their adoption and have demonstrated their clout on many occasions. Over the last many centuries, Indians have travelled to many near and far off destinations in the world for trade, business, education and jobs. One major wave of such movement was carried out by the colonial administration under the so called indentured system for meeting labour shortages in their overseas plantations. This inhuman system of exploitation of workers finally ended and the centenary of its abolition was commemorated in many parts of the world including India during 2017-18. Antar Rashtrya Sahyog Parishad (ARSP) had organised year-long activities to mark this important landmark in the life of the Indian diaspora, culminating with an international conference on the topic, ‘Contribution of Diaspora in Nation Building’ in Mauritius in July 2018. Several leaders and scholars addressed this gathering, and this publication captures the essence of its outcomes. This publication could be a good reference for students and scholars working on diaspora.

- Description: प्रख्यात कोशकार ज़ुबैर अहमद भागलपुरी द्वारा सम्पादित यह डिक्शनरी एक नई अवधारणा पर आधारित है। यह एक ही समय में हिन्दी-अंग्रेज़ी शब्दकोश भी है और हिन्दी-उर्दू शब्दकोश भी। इस प्रकार दो शब्दकोशों के कुशलतापूर्वक मेल से तैयार यह त्रैभाषिक डिक्शनरी न केवल अत्यधिक उपयोगी बन गई है बल्कि कोश-निर्माण के क्षेत्र में एक नया कीर्तिमान है। इसमें संकलित शब्दों की दृष्टि से देखें तो जनसामान्य के उपयोग की शब्दावली की प्रविष्टि तो इसमें है ही, राजकीय और प्रशासनिक स्तर पर इस्तेमाल में आने वाले पारिभाषिक शब्दों को भी इसमें शामिल किया गया है। शब्द-संकलन करते समय रोज़मर्रा के इस्तेमाल में आने वाले शब्दों को प्राथमिकता दी गई है। भाषा के स्वभाव और स्वरशास्त्र (फोनेटिक्स) को ध्यान में रखते हुए डिक्शनरी में शब्दों के उच्चारण में व्यावहारिकता पर बल दिया गया है। इसी कारण उर्दू के शब्द ‘ख्वाब’, ‘ख्वाजा’ और ‘ख्वाहिश’ जैसे शब्दों को इसमें ‘खाब’, ‘खाजा’ और ‘खाहिश’ लिखा गया है। उर्दू के किसी शब्द के अन्तिम अक्षर के अन्त में आने वाले ‘हा-ए-ख़फ़ी’ का देवनागरी लिप्यन्तरण करते समय अमूमन विसर्ग का उपयोग किया जाता है, लेकिन उच्चारण को ध्यान में रखते हुए यहाँ ऐसे शब्दों के लिप्यन्तरण में विसर्ग के बजाय ‘आ’ की मात्रा अर्थात ‘अलिफ़’ का उपयोग किया गया है। समान स्वर लेकिन भिन्न अर्थ रखने वाले शब्दों का अन्तर स्पष्ट करने के लिए उनके लिप्यन्तरण में नुक़्ते का प्रयोग किया गया है। इसमें अनेक बहुचर्चित तकनीकी शब्दों के उर्दू विकल्प भी दिये गए हैं। निश्चय ही यह सबके लिए अन्यन्त उपयोगी और संग्रहणीय है।
