R. K. Yadav, Former R +1
- Book Type:

- Description: This book is likely the first eye-opening account that has unlocked the main achievements and failures of Indian intelligence, including the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). There have been various assumptions and apprehensions about the myths and realities of our intelligence among the media, security analysts, and defense forces, which have been thoroughly examined for the public of this country in general and for the new generation in particular. It begins by exploring how the' Thuggi and Dacoity' Department, created by the British in 1904, evolved into the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). Its founder, R.N. Kao, is one of the most legendary intelligence figures and has no parallel in the global intelligence community. He outperformed Richard Helms of the CIA and many other contemporaries from MI6 and Mossad while merging a territory of 3000 square miles of Sikkim into Indian territory. There is no other example in global intelligence of how R&AW and its icon, R.N. Kao, executed this task in the face of an imminent threat from China at the border. This book also reveals Kao's heroics in the liberation of Bangladesh, which was a monumental contribution, and unfolds how Article 370 was enacted due to the ego problem of Sheikh Abdullah by Jawaharlal Nehru.

Tribal Phiolosphy
- Author Name:
Santosh Kiro
- Book Type:

- Description: The world of tribes in India is still undiscovered and it often appears mysterious to the common man. Their peculiar belief system, worship of myriad spirits, animals, plants, hills, rivers and mountains compound the mystery. Even today, their world view, lifestyle, ritual and value system remain beyond the grasp of the mainstream society. Tribes are often dismissed as just animists, without a philosophy. Scholars so far have been dwelling mostly on the anthropological aspects of the tribes. This book is the first systematic effort to deal with the tribes from the point of view of philosophy. The work goes beyond what appears about the tribes on the surface level, and delves into their world of cosmology, metaphysics, aesthetics, epistemology and eschatology, man-animal-nature relations, gods, spirits, body and soul. Though the book is a work of philosophy, it chooses to avoid dry and cumbersome _ philosophical process; but in the final analysis succeeds to bring forth the philosophy of the tribal community in a manner appealing even to the general readers. A large number of legends and folktales have been interpreted philosophically in order to give sensible meaning to them vis-a-vis Vedic philosophy and Christian philosophy; and it is therefore that the book promises to be an exotic journey into the world of the tribes.

- Description: Oral epics in any Indian language are generally associated with certain specific communities, defined by their traditional occupations; and the present oral epic Koti Channaya belongs to the Billava community. This poetic narrative, which records the life and adventures of the two cultural heroes of the Billava community, their yearning for cultivable land, their brave opposition to the established powerful classes, and their tragic end, is sung by the members of the particular communities called Pambada and Parava of coastal Karnataka, during the annual worship of the twin heroes. The oral epic, Koti Chennaya unravels the world of Billava community (traditionally toddy-tappers) of coastal Karnataka recording in the process the life and adventures as also the travails and tribulations of the two cultural heroes of Billava community. Most of the oral epics begin with a 'Creation Myth', which begins with the creation of the entire universe step by step, thus focuses on the legendary first parents/ancestors of the community concerned. Such a myth, besides glorifying the cultural heroes of the epic, gives a privileged position to the community by linking it with the rest of the world and gives it a socio-cultural identity. Koti Channaya also begins with a 'Creation Myth'. A recent study undertaken by UNESCO says that half of the 6,700 languages spoken in the world at present face the danger of extinction before the end of this century.

Indian Mujahideen
- Author Name:
Brij Lal
- Book Type:

- Description: India was divded because of the obduracy of Jinnah, and in August 1947 India was partitioned and a separate country Pakistan came into existence. The demand for creation of a separate Islamic country for Muslims by dividing India was being raised since 1940. Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar believed that the partition of India into two countries on religious lines was not practically possible, and such a partition would be more harmful for humanity than the Nation, and lead to large-scale violence, which actually happened. Dr. Ambedkar believed that Hindus and Sikhs in the newly-created nation of Pakistan should come to India, and Muslims in India should go to Pakistan, an Islamic country created on religious lines. Despite so many years have passed, some terrorist organisations (state actors) such as Indian Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, Jaish-e-Muhammed, Hizbul Mujahideen etc. have continu- ously waged a war against India and have gone forward to destabilise and disturb our socio-economic situations. This book takes an in-depth look at the heinous misdeeds of the 'Indian Mujahideen', the masterminds of Islamic terrorism, who created an army of Islamic Jihadis whose brutal and bestial acts have put humanity to shame. These heretics have worked to bring the world to its knees by creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation by making videos of their heinous inhuman acts of torture and broadcast- ing them across the world. A well-researched readable book exposing the activities, mechanisms, working style and dangerous intentions of the terrorist organisation 'Indian Mujahideen', which has become synonymous with terror.
